So after following a few links from friends here on Mylot (thank you all very much
)and searching around I think I might have found a pattern I like. I was thinking of making it in autumn colors as those ore her favorite and using a bright Philippine batik like fabric I found on Ebay that would be for him (he is half Philippine) as well as maybe a quilting pattern in a Celtic boarder as they are both part Irish.

This really sounds very interesting. Autumn colors are so pretty and healthy looking. What about celtic knots for the border? I bet it would look neat. Ofcourse I love them. My peace sign is made of some. You are very welcome for the options that I sent to you.
