Have you ever had a misfortune (in the form of an accident) that eventually became hilarious in the end? For example, having slipped and fell 'faced down' into a birthday cake, the initial embarrassment became humorous to everyone-including yourself- when the circumstances surrounding the accident is revealed to all involved. Will you share some of your 'misfortune turn funny' moments with us? How well did you handle the emotions involved?

Musicluv4life, I am pleased to hear your story, and I enjoyed the fact that humor came out of that bad situation.

I had one accident that was incredibly funny to begin with but it got downright hilarious after my broken wrist healed.Yes,I think the way I broke my wrist was funny. This is mainly because it was so over the top, caused by a chain reaction and silly that it wouldn't really look out of place on a cartoon. I feel embarrassed to even tell the story but it's okay...why not? It happened one day while I was listening to some music with my headphones and dancing around the room and generally having too much guilty pleasure style fun that I was distracted and didn't notice when my cat entered the room.So I'm dancing around and suddenly I trip on my cat from behind(as in the cat was behind me) and I fell, hit my back on my wardrobe, causing half of my clothes to land on top of me and, just because it wasn't crazy enough already, apparently ,the flower pot that was on top of the wardrobe falls in front of me and shatters to pieces. I spent a full 15 second not believing what had just happened.Yeah,my wrist hurt afterwards but the experience was just priceless. Most of the people think I'm lying because I was alone in the room but I always tell them that no one in their right mind would make up a story that embarrassing.

I was doing a craft sale at the local mall and there were a ton of people around. I brought a folding canvas chair to sit on and when I went to sit down the chair collapsed! I was so embarassed. I had a hard time getting back up! At least no one I knew was around!

Ha Ha, I'm sorry but I have to laugh at this one. Ooh dear, Ha, ha, I hope you did'nt hehe, hurt yourself. Ooh dear, suppose one of your friends were around when the chair collapsed, would'nt that person spring to your aid, before laughing at you first? I hope so. Did you expose yourself when you fell? Oops! As an act of consolation, I have seen and help many pesons (mainly wowen) who have had similar or worse experiences of a similar kind of accident such as yours; both in the company of friends and strangers. Would you like me to tell you of an experience of the worse kind using the a similar nature -like yours-that I was a part of (which would cause you to laugh aloud)? Never mind, Jillhill. I like your story

I have a friend who stores up memories of everything that we have ever done during the course of our lives that is a little bit embarrassing, and he will always remind us about it at every opportunity that he gets. This means that most of the things that happen to us that were horrible at the time do become funny because we have no other option but to laugh about it as our friend will remind us about it continuously anyway so we might as well just laugh along so that we don't end up red faced every time he chooses to tell the stories.

GemmaR, it appears that your friend has a way to keep you guys 'in ckeck'. In my opinion, that is bordering on blackmail (of the humorous kind). I have a friends who try to hold me and others 'at ransom' (of the 'humorous kind') with that kind of behavior. However, we found a way to get even, by playing a prank on him. Ooh, yes, we played a humorous prank on him and got it videotaped. It was very amusing to all of us, but it cooled him off a little bit. Oops, I do'nt want you to get too creative with your ideas, here, but it would be nice to see how this friend would behave if he is 'pranked'. (Smile) I enjoyed your story very much, as I can identify with your dilemma as well.

hm~ I never had an accident that got a funny ending before, maybe in exams where i answered one of the question wrong and it turns out to be that the answer that I chose is just a word that my teacher invented,, xP hehe

Goodness Yel812, how lucky you were at doing that question? Happily for you, it was either by a stroke of luck, or by a stroke of genious, that your perception of the answer to the question was not the one that you actually recorded on the exam paper. Obviously, the recorded answer on that 'fateful' test paper was accepted as the most appropriate response- a feat which was 'much' to the delight of your teacher! Contrary to your initial thoughts, in reality, you gave the teacher what he/she wanted. Great for you!
