Today we are living in a world of technology. Many types of inventions, electronic appliances and gadgets have been invented that in the past people could only dream of. Now if we would focus for example on gadgets, there a hundreds or probably even thousands of new gadgets developed every year. We can see people in all walks of life carrying gadgets of every kind to their workplace, while traveling or in the comfort of their home. So I want to ask you, why do you think people love gadgets so much? In your case what types of gadgets do you have now and how do you enjoy it? Do you want to buy other types of gadgets in the future, what are they?

Gadgets is the new big thing and is getting bigger every single day. Most people love gadgets because it's actually make their work easier and connects with friends online faster, anytime and anywhere they are. As is said, the gadgets technology is getting bigger and bigger every single minutes or second, it's true and you can know by looking at apple products. Just like when i buy a new ipod touch 2nd generation and 3 years later, i can't play any modern games on the apps store. These things are going more and more faster each year and there will be a time when we have to upgrade our gadgets every year to meet what we want in our life. It's not a need but people treat it as it is a need.

It is ironic to say that the gadget technology is getting bigger while the gadget sizes are getting smaller. Isn't this true in many instances? Who would remember those days when cellphones where so big and heavy, it is a burden to carry them around and they're too big to place in your pockets? Nowadays I think more small cellphones are being made than bigger ones. This holds true in many other different types of gadgets. And it's true also that they improve all the features as years pass by, like their functionality becomes a lot more efficient. I wonder how gadgets and technologies would be ten years from now...

Haha, good point on that. I think what they meant was that even though the size of the device is smaller, but the capabilities of the device is bigger, like the storage and stuff. As for 10 years from now, i would really like to see a phone just like Starks phone in Ironman 2 movie. It's very cool and not impossible since we already have what start trek have in their ship nowadays.

Haha, those really cool information about star trek's device which is suppose to be futuristic at that time and is now existing. I don't know how the device in Ironman 2 looks like because I haven't seen that movie yet, but I would surely like to watch that because I did enjoy the part 1. yes, I think future gadgets are made due to imaginations created today, so whatever that gadget is in Ironman2 I believe it could be possible. Let's see if 10 years from now or less if we would see such device existing.

Well, there are gadgets that do attract people much. Some are useful some are not. I am not much of a gadget person ( mostly as i also cannot afford them) but there are those who could afford it they would buy it... to show people off they have it, to use it when they do not have anything else, for some they use it in business, entertainment, leisure...

You're right, I think that people use gadgets for a number of reasons. For me, I would usually use it for fun and entertainment, but when I buy a Tablet I can use it both for fun and also for my businesses. I think it's possible to use Skype conversation with Tablet, is that right? ( I teach English Conversation online to my Korean friends using Skype with voice and webcam ).

Yes, I do it in the comfort of my own home and not associated with any companies so I don't have any boss and working at home is very convenient for me. I guess if the ipad 2 is very expensive, I would rather use a laptop which should be more appropriate for my online work and businesses.

gadgets are now part of our daily lives.. Whatseemed to be a luxury when we were much younger have turnd out to be necessity now that even companies have tried their best to make these gadgets affordable and accesible to all. I agree that having those three...the laptop/desktop, cell phone and a usb for saving files are enough in most cases. Talking about cell phone as a regular part of our daily lives, in the country where I live maybe about almost 90% owns a celphone...even a maid/servant, a carpenter, a fisherman, even beggars have them...lol. Maybe for many beggers, they also use it to beg for cell phone loads as well.

People love Gagdets because it makes life easier, more entertaining and just different. Everybody is tired of the same old same old. I know that is why people's culture is being erased from existence because this modern idea is taking over. As for me technology, it would be phones, ipod, laptop (which i am using to type in the the comfort of my own bed through no tangles of wire - wifi) and a manual transmission car. I know i specify manual transmission because i love them. I don't really have a car for myself as yet but my dad has a automatic vehicle which i take out very often like everyday but i still prefer manual over his. As for my phone, that keeps me in contact with everybody. From local to overseas, so I need that. Also i keep study notes on my phone as well so it is very important to me. I usually use it to listen to music but not so frequently anymore as i put that strain more on my ipod because that is the sole purpose of the ipod anyway. My ipod keeps me entertain when i am really bored like even when I am travelling, and flying overseas or so. After a while darn the plane gets really boring. Lastly my laptop, well i do have a desktop as well but i switch between them as i wish for my comfort. but my laptop is with me on the go every where. Cause it does everything, I am rally surprise that my laptop doesnt drive as well. But i put alot of hope in my laptop and it help me with alot through life, ranging from school work to entertainment. Even communication my laptop is there for me, with even the new video chat softwares that are coming out and the invention of the web cam. As you can see I am not too much of a camera fan. I love to take pics but i am not really interested in taking in pics if you get what i mean. Better said I dont have a problem if someone wants to take my pic all day, but i dont want to be the dude holding the camera right through the day.

Well not really. I still wanted the IPad but i can't afford it. I only have school to think about now. That is what is really on my mind at the moment. I know the ipad really come in handy with boredom. But I find that a game really helps better to kill time. Ipod just soothe your boredom but a game will better kill time, what do you think about that?

Because it is "in", "hip" or whatever people call it these days. It is a social thing and it is fun to use too. It definitely makes life easier and we get more connected with people even if they are far away.. Technology is god as long as we don't let it take over our lives and we use it for good.

That is what I like about gadgets...that they can make life easier for people. It is true, the use of technology should be moderate and should not take most of our time. In advanced countries, there is a gadget that helps giving directions of locations when their driving their car, right? I forgot what is the name of this gadget, but most of my Korean friends have them.

People love gadgets because it made things simple. Mine, I love computer or laptop. I very much ennjoyed with my laptop because I can watch anime, read mangas and can participate in mylot =. I only love the laptop gadget now. Not interested in IPAD, or something like that. Very fine now with only laptop.

I too wanted to have a laptop and I would want to buy a laptop first before buying a Tablet, because laptops are faster and have a lot more space than Tablets. I also can use tablets for my work but it would be used more for fun, because I would rather use my laptop for work than the Tablet. Anyway, when I go somewhere I would probably bring the Tablet because it's smaller and more convenient to bring.
