Just watched the new sherlock movie

Earlier today I watched the new sherlock movie. I enjoyed it more than the first one, even though both were pleasant to watch. The only thing I hated about the new portrayal of sherlock (in both the new films) is that they present holmes as too much of an action hero. From what I know he is not supposed to be this way. Just a skinny guy with a very extraordinary mind, and not a professional boxing fighter. Also i was really surprised, in a good way, to see Noomi Rapace staring in the movie. The swedish "girl with the dragon tattoo" seems to be her really big break!

I haven't watched the second movie yet. But, I'd like to see it one day soon. I agree with you that Sherlock was more on the brainy side rather on the brawny side.

I think you should watch it. It has a very nice plot, action (even though I'm still not convinced about his top fighting skills) and some funny moments. I especially like how he tries to experiment in the art of camouflage. I think he was doing that in the first movie as well, even though I can't remember for sure. Poor dr watson is always getting teased.

Is it still Robert Downey Jr? If yes, I'll definitely watch it. Well, even if it's not him, I think I'd still watch it.

Yeah.. still robert downey jr and jude law are the two protagonists. I don't think it would be wise to change the cast of a sequel.:P

I've seen both and what I know of orginal back in the day is that he wasn't really skinny he was a fighter just not always in the way the movies put him as. but its a well done movie. My husband loves both of them and he can't wait for them to do a third one.

My experience with sherlock holmes is mainly from video games. I have played the 1992 lost files of sherlock holmes. I also played the case of the rose tattoo that came out some years later and was a blast, and about 4-5 years ago I played the case of the silver earing. I loved all of them games and I had the impression sherlock was less of the fighter. As for the old movies I remember only seeing a particular one in where sherlock was in university, and it was supposed to be his first adventure together with dr watson. It's called "Young Sherlock Holmes".

Sherlock Holmes A Game of Shadows is also good as the first part, I liked the way Sherlock Holmes is portrayed in the film even though Sherlock Holmes is not professional boxer. Noomi Rapace is also coming in the upcoming film Prometheus, seems Noomi Rapace is getting films in Hollywood ...

Yes. It's nice to see good non american actors getting worldwide aknowledged. I really loved all three movies of the swedish original trilogy "Girl with the dragon tattoo". Haven't checked the american version yet. I heard that they did a very good remake, however I usually avoid watching english remakes of foreign movies.I'll check out prometheus thanks for the tip. It is coming next month!
