What My Life Means To Me

Sometimes I feel lonely, As if no one in the world would hold me. I wish to disappear without a trace, In search of someone to embrace, The world looks so empty to me. And so foggy that I can barely see. What life has in store for me, Will unravel like a mystery. Maybe the love of my life will ask me to marry, And his baby I shall carry. And then my life shall be complete, And my maker I shall meet. But until that day approaches near, Don't worry about me... I'll be right here. And then the world will finally see, What my life means to me.

Most times when we get depressed for our life, which shows we never set goal beyond something. At that moment of such depression I would just think about people who are having problems worse that me, or just lending some little help to the needy would change my mind. My life is not just going like that. I am preparing myself now to achieve great things in future.

Every individual feel the same way. We have that but its up to us how to deal with it. Sometimes We feel strange and awkward to the surrounding and very uncomfortable feeling unless you are not Human you can't feel how it feels to be alive and all those emotions out bursting. Its a good poem/monologue/sayings coz. We can express it trough writing and reading. One thing for sure, don't let go on the life you have because you never its final glory if you just abandon it.

Thank you a lot for that. The older we grow, it seems like the less compassion that the world bestows upon us. And, you're right, we emit emotions based on how we feel hoping for the relation of others. And I'm not ever giving up! I wrote this poem a long time ago, though. I was like in the 8th grade then lol.. I'm 24 now! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!

that's good.I'm with your age right now. 24 years of existence is never been better. We should learn to appreciate what life ahead of us. Although many situation that can change our perception but its up to us. I'm still learning and exploring what i'm gonna do with my life. learn to value every single day.And don't forget to praise God and thank him for all the blessing.

You're so right about that. It is almost mandatory to constantly adjust to change because that is the only constant in this world. And it is equally mandatory to prepare for the future, if you want a good one!

I am enlightened to read that my words inspired you a bit. It sounds like you live a great life that you enjoy thoroughly. It is great that your parents are very active and supportive in your life, but you must always make back up plans and expect the unexpected. For example, my grandmother is 74 years old and in perfect health. She's a woman of God. She's never smoked, drank or done anything wrong really her entire life. She's my best friend, my legal guardian, my grandmother and my confidant. However, I know there will come a day where she's no longer here physically within my corner, only spiritually. And, even though I dread discussing it, I prepare for those dark days when I am finally alone. Everyone has a purpose in life, some find it and never fulfill it, others never find out. Time is ticking, what is your choice? Only YOU can decide that, with or without the help of others. However, if you make a mistake based solely on your decisions, you have no one to blame but yourself. Lots to think about... I know. Thanks for commenting!!

I appreciate the insight, ravisivan! I am however, not at all depressed. Haha I am well on my way to greatness and quite aware of those terms =) I wrote this poem when I was about 12 or 13 while still in middle school and I honestly can't recall as to what I was discussing lol necessarily. But, that was nothing hahah I was a baby! But, you're right.. though competition is getting quite harsh as far as education goes. I am working on my 3rd degree and am forced to work online because I cannot find employment in my hometown without being underpaid or considered being overqualified for the position. It's crazy! Thanks for sharing your views!!
