ur parents way of giving punishment

got hitted?grounded for 1 month?doing chores..?Any other type of punishment u have experienced ?

i usually got grounded for weeks. i would also loose my privilage to watch the tv.

I got hit. That was my mothers punishment, no grounding or chores just getting hit. Usually with a spatula or whatever was in reach.

Well, I don't live at home any more, but when I did my parents would usually ground me from doing things I liked to do. But I didn't get in trouble very often.

ive got me a butt whoopin or 2 in my day.. also grounding and loss of priviledges.. although i dont believe in "spanking" my own children.. i dont consider how i got punished as a child abuse... times have changed.. i dont thinks its a correct form of punishment nowadays.. however i think to each family their own.. some cultures approve.. some dont.. there is a fine line between a spanking and abuse.. i dont do it.. however i dont think that people that do are nessecarily abusive.. possibly a little less educated? for lack of a better term..just havent learned better parenting techniques, this is just my opinion and i dont mean to offend anyone.. i just couldnt spank my own children.

wow..who wouldnt love to be ur child when ur being such a nice mom.I nvr get spank b4..but i'd spank my nephews for their misbehave..not in abusive way thou :P just a light hit on palm..muahah..

there are worse things than spankings.. lol.. my children jsut arent old enough to recieve the type of punishments when they cant use the computer, phones, cars, or have to clean somethin yucky!.. they dont cross me too far yet.. but theyre still babies to me! usually preteen starts to be time for "actual" punishments and groundings,, cant really take away what they dont have yet! but the whole idea of a punishment is to learn that your mistakes have consenquences right? and the punishment should suit the crime to i think .. so spanking or hitting a child cuz they like yelled or took something they were supposed to or got a detention or something just doesnt seem to teach them anything except .. "well mommy hits me when shes mad... when im mad i can hit (sibling, other child, whoever)" i feel very strongly about this one.. sorry for the novel!
