Do you think that there is a possibility of rebirth...

There is such a lot of debate regarding this, also there have been instances where certain people have been able to remember almost all the details about their previous birth.I am skeptical about the whole thing but sometimes one wonders because there are many things which are beyond us and probably 25 years ago one could never imagine that we could have an invention like the internet , web camera and the like...so anything seems possible in the universe...

Of course there is. As you say, anything is possible. I believe that rebirth is definitely possible. We are made up of energy. Energy cannot be created or destroyed but only transferred from one form to another. We always were and always will be, just not always in this same physical form. IMO we chose to take on this physical journey. When we leave our physical human bodies behind and return to the non-human realm we can choose to stay there or to embark on another human journey. So it is not only a possibility, it is a conscious choice that we make...

Kalav what I'm saying is that when we are in the universal realm in spiritual form we make a conscious choice either to stay there or to embark on a human journey. I don't believe that a human being HAS a soul. I believe that we ARE souls. We have a body. In other words we are not humans on a spiritual journey, we are spiritual beings on a human journey. A journey that we have made a conscious choice to take. When we leave our human bodies behind and return we can choose to take another human journey...or not.

I believe in reincarnation, because if you look at the world around us it's evident everywhere in the cycle of seasons. That's not trying to convince anyone else that it is true or not, because we all must decide what we believe to be so, but just explaining why I believe in reincarnation.

Unlike religion, Reincarnation is a proven fact! It has been proven by millions of people who have traced their memories of past lives, and found them factual, also it is quite easy for most people to discover their own past lives via hypnoses. Reincarnation was taught in the Roman Catholic Church until 553 A.D. when it was voted out (3-2) at the Council of Constantinople. The Christian Church would not be the richest business in the world today, if its parishioners believed they would get another chance in their next incarnation!

I don't believe it. Even though there are lots of things that you and me can imagine now or even in the future, it does't mean that those things are out of the science system. Besides, rebirth is not always a good thing.Just imagine that if you have a chance of rebirth, will you keep yourself cherishing the life all the time? Then will you be able to make any achievement?Life is precious because we live only once. And we can be succesful only when we have realized it.

Hi Xjian, I partly agree with you and do believe that unless proven one can never be sure about anything.I have my own doubts about God and Religion too since it has never been proved by anyone so far...I had a personal experience once which was baffling.I met a lady who is supposed to remember her previous birth and the details were startling -many scientists have interviewed her and are still not sure what to make of the case...I am sure that finally they will be able to come to some conclusion or the other, but as things stand it is a bit of an unsolved mystery..

there is one way to make the conclusion. She should prove all the details are real. For example, when and where she did something. Is there any evidence in history?

The concept of rebirth is pretty hard to take in. Religion has a part in this because a lot of religions don't agree with this type of thing. Another problem is because if it's true most people don't remember. I don't discard the theory. I think it would be very interesting. I think it's possible, maybe even probable but I don't have any proof. As everyone else I experienced deja vu and that might be an indicator in some theories I read about this. I recommend you read "Aleph" - it's a book written by Paoulo Cohelio ( the author of The Alchemist) he describes a previous life of his and how he tries to sort the bad things he did then in his current life. It's a really good book in my opinion, just finished reading it last week.

Hi vertu, thanks a lot for your response I agree that religion does have a part in the theory and concept of rebirth and reincarnation.I will definitely look up Aleph, I have read Alchemist....There was also a fiction called The Reincarnation of Peter Proud which was later made into a film, which was pretty good...thanks a lot and all the best
