Somebody's stealing at the office; it was my mug this time.

I felt bad about my mug; It was taken way from my desk without my permission! I left it last night on the same spot that I'm putting it. (If you may ask why I'm not putting it in my locker; that's going to be inconvenient since I tend to drink a lot.) That's always been beside my monitor in my desk and not it is gone. The tumbler that I've got looks like Starbucks which it allows you to put pictures inside and personalize it. I know this is common in all of the workplace that I have benn. but this time I felt bad about that tumbler. i was about to put pictures on it and personalize it extravagantly. I really felt remorsed. The person who could have stole it must be either they can't bought for themselves or they're kleptomaniac. How would you feel about this? Have you experience this before? Share me your thoughts or experience related to this. Thanks and happy mylotting!

It's too obvious there are people who wants to get things they didn't own. I mean, you are all working but then that person can't buy her own thing and just brave enough to steal someone else's property. And to think, you are working in the same place, she might be using it in your office someday, watch for it... There are really people we can't avoid who are sick when it comes to things they didn't own. I just hope they all realize what they are doing and bad karma come their way...For it can give them lessons one day.

Hi resy.. I know the feeling..I know how it feels to lose a thing specially when that thing is actually your favorite.. And specially if it's such a unique stuff.. Well for me, I don't remember that same situation has happened to me. Good thing, right? But what is with that person who steals your mug? Maybe he/she got so amused with your mug that he/she actually wanted it to her's/his.. Hahaha.. But what can you do, it's gone and you cannot do anything about it.. Just go and find yourself a new one..and this time make sure to keep it safer than before..

Wow that is terrible! I am lucky in that the places I have worked in have had honest enough people who don't steal - let alone something like a mug . All the best with your colleagues and office, hopefully this won't be a continued regular thing...

That is awful! You should mark everything with a sharpie so that it cannot be washed off.

That also happens in our office, not only mugs, plates as well as spoons and fork, so what i do, i keep my utensils in my drawer. Maybe they find your tumbler different and they liked it. Maybe they just borrowed it and will return it after use. Let's hope you will see your mug on your table one day.

I am sorry to heard that. it is not nice when someone just took it without your permission. it never happens to my case. I put many things on my table and all is remained. Don't be sad too much, just think positive. I hope this wont happen more in your work place.

I haven't experienced that but maybe if someone steels my things even of a little value I would be upset and would find it anywhere. My previous office experienced that after I resigned. My boss lost his laptop and company digital camera within his office in a short time frame. They suspect that HR, who occupy my position is the stealer. I interviewed her and her credentials and experiences were satisfactory. I never know that she can do steal even my boss' laptop. When the time that the camera and laptop lost at a separate occasion, she went home after lunch time, saying that she sick or like that. After that incident, she resigned too and told the management that she doesn't steel anything, they never proven that so they just let it go away.

Hi resy! What is sad about that is that you are working in one office but you can not trust anybody anymore. I also experienced that thing in my previous job.

That is too bad about your mug. Could it been that the cleaning staff accidently knocked it over breaking it so it is in the trash? This happened once in our office. In the mean time, maybe just lock it up at night when you are gone...you are not going to drink out of it then.

maybe he tipped it and the mug broke while you are away, he cleaned it up so that no one will notice that he broke ur mug.
