I have a 1 yr old pit bull. ( I am not counting dog years) But anyways I also have 3 cats, two of which are not very fond of the dog. They are the alphas. My dog went out to play in the yard and apparently the cat was in the back. Well the dog must have invaded his space. He then proceeded to chase my dog, CoCo all around the entire yard. In circles around the outline of the yard. So what funny stories can you guys add to these funny pet antics. ~C~

At this time a dog chased him. If was badly hurted. This incident made him to hate the dogs.

It was so funny. I still laugh a little even right now as I am responding here on my discussion. I do understand about your father being afraid after a bad incident with a dog. Being bit by one or chased can be a very scary thing. And its one of those things that you just cant shake. I was bit by a dog when I was younger. But it was not intentional. It was actually just a random accident, I stepped on the dogs tail, I was sitting on the dogs back. I looked down at the dog at the same time as he yelped up and he barked and caught my lip. It was a bad bite, my lip was hanging. I still have scar. But I got over it, most likely because it was not an attack but an accident.

My dog and cat didn't have much use for each other most of the time, but Thomas the cat would wait for goose (the dog) to fall asleep and then snuggle up. We have a lot of good pictures of the cat either asleep on the dogs back or tucked in between her legs where it was warm. Both have passed now, and my son has one of the pictures of them together in his room and that is how he remembers them

Aw, that sound so cute! They will hang out sometimes but not bother to get very close. ~C~

I love cat and dog stories! I have always had cats and dogs together and never had any problem with them. One story that was related to me by my Mom was about my Siamese cat and her miniature poodle. The dog and cat got along very well, so Mom took care of my cat while I was over seas in Thailand. Her poodle and my cat would play for hours with each other. Usually that meant that they would chase each other through the house. They took turns chasing each other. One time it would be the cat chasing the dog, the next time it was reversed. When it was the dog chasing the cat, the poodle would catch the cat and would drag the cat, who was yowling, through the house by its tail! Of course all the yowling was just an act! The next thing you knew the cat would jump to his feet and chase the dog through the house. When the cat cornered the dog, he would jump on the dog's back and ride her through the house. Of course the folks never managed to get movies of the play time, it would have been so much fun to watch! The same cat took extreme delight in tormenting the other dog my parents had. The cat would wait until dinner time and then he would race to the kitchen where the dogs were fed, sit on the edge of the counter until my Mom set the dog bowls on the floor, jump down and race to the bowl of the largest dog and then climb on it and sit on the food! That darn cat would make the dog wait for anywhere from a minute to ten minutes before he would leave the bowl and let the dog eat! The dog would be crying and begging for the cat to move and the cat would sit there with a smug look on his face and refuse to move until "HE" was ready to let the dog eat. The dog never got nasty with the cat. But the bigger dog would wait and plan revenge...it was like having a couple of kids in the house!

Haha, that is so funny! I think that this would have been perfect for the funny videos. I am almost certain that when the dog would drag the cat around the room, you would of won. You guys have a very humorous pet family. I have not heard of such fun antics between dogs and cats.
