If I were to never wash another dish in the sink I do believe the sink would be over full!! Does this happen to you? And If I were not to clean this house I do believe it would be filthy!! But it seems since I have lost my job all I do is cook and clean every and all day!!! I need a break!! They need to help me here!!! What would you do? Would you just leave all the dishes in the sink? The thing is I want to to see what would happen but I can not stand a dirty kitchen or any part of the house for that matter1!

Well friend, maybe you should ask for help, by being mad there is nothing that will change, if there is too much work and responsibilities on you, you should ask your family for more cooperation. In my house, for instance, since we were kids, every one cleans his own dish after meals, and cooperate with the cleaning.

That is what it was like when we were younger too but even when I ask for help it is sometimes yes and then sometimes I never see it!

It seems to me that you will have to become more firm with your petitions, and stop doing their job. You deserve to have time to yourself, and, if this time is not given to you, you have the right to take it, I am sure that after some time, you will see some changes.

Even though I'm tired and sleepy specially at night I never leave dishes in the sink. It can attract insects like ants and cockroaches and even mice as well. My house is no longer new it has done so many repairs and it seems it has many insect here if I'm not that too clean in the kitchen. My mother told me that first thing that must be cleaned is the kitchen second is the bathroom. I can see someone's character in her cleanliness around her house.

I am the same way I can not stand nothing in the sink or laying around all over the house, I have to clean it so even if they don;t help and I am sick or tired I still do it too.

Hi there, I live here with my 18 yr old daughter and I do the dishes just once a day. They are nothing now compared to when all 4 of my girls lived with me. I don't mind. My 18 yr old is a very clean person and helps out. I do babysit my 14 month old grandson on my evenings off and now talk about work!! I have him from 2:30pm until about 9 t 9:30 pm. Now every night when that kid goes home..my apt. looks like a bomb hit it! My floors are sticky and there are crumbs everywhere and things are scattered all over. Chairs are tiped so that they aren't tools for climbing. I also work full time. If dong the dishes for just me were all that I had to do, well, I just can't imagine. I am the only one here to do the dishes, clean the bathroom. My daughter will vaccum and dust and help pick up after my grandson...just life.

Oh it IS a lot of work...just fitting in a shower here takes some creative planning...trust me but ya know...wouldn't have it any other way. The alternative would be boring. I complain(ok..whine) sometimes but all in all...I love it.

I would recommend that you wash the dishes. I am glad that you are able to have dirty dishes with your job loss. I do not mean this in mean way. I just want to explain by saying your job loss has not prevented you from cooking or eating which is good. I know you feel unappreciated when you cook and clean, but please understand that it is very important. If you need help, just ask. Housekeeping is a job in itself, and it has to be done. Some people hire other people to come in and cook and clean, it is that much of a task. In my opinion, the people that live in the home should know how to do it best. Your job right now is to keep a clean home and cook amongst other things, but while you are doing this, try to think of ways to make it easier, and don't be afraid to ask for help.

I hope other helpful hands will help make it easier. Sometimes people just need to understand how you feel.

I understand I feel blessed that I still have a roof over my head and a little bit of food on the table, cabinets, and the fridge. I am going to start to ask them more to help me and see what happens. he he l.o.l. We shall see.

Hi ja hernandez rivas: I think the answer is in your hands. Try to divide the house works between you and the people that live in your house. Every person should do their job. Maybe you should simply do your own tasks: so if someone wants his dishes clean them, if someone spills something he/she has to clean it, etc. These are simple rules everyone must follow to put order on a house. Personally I think the more time we have to be home, and we are feeling Good, the more we tend to notice things and want things to be cleaner than they are. Then often times we are the ones who always have to keep things up because no one else seems to notice and want to help us. I know personally though maybe you need to let others know there are things they could do to help you around the house, and hope for the Best from there.

h i jahernandezrivas I would start to tell the rest of your household that their arms are not broken and that it takes little moxie to wash the dishes and sweep and vacuum occasionally. My husband when he was alive took over the vacuuming and sweeping as I did the dishes and cared for two babies 11 months apart. He never did any dishes bu t the trade off was too great for me to mind. what I am saying is housework is for all the family not just mom so listen up folks help out mom oklay.

Domestic work, was never completed. At any time, household chores, always there. I do, every day, doing all the housework alone. Hope, there is someone who helps. But nothing helped me. If I do not work, I would be a hassle. Because, the work will pile up, and no one who helped me.

Well, I know what I'm about to tell you, maybe you might find it odd. I am a man of 37 years, I have the passion to do the dishes. And you, and are also "fooled" by my family who believe me to do this job only in order to make me say "but how good you are!." Instead, NO, even when I can not sleep at 2.00 AM I get up and wash the dishes, if I still see them on the sink. I conclude by saying that I like living in an orderly and clean.

I like it clean here too that is why I am always doing it but now I have a bad foot and can hardly walk and it seems I have to be the one doing everything around here even trying to walk with some kind of cane to the grocery store! I am getting tired here I can not get into the Doctor until Thursday.

Well, my husband does some dishes about every 4 or 5 months. I guess that's his idea of helping around the house. There is absolutely no way I could leave the house a mess to see how long it would take him to do something. If I did wait to see, people in our community would begin to think the local dump had moved to the city. Best Wishes!

Dishes will always get dirty, food will always need to be prepared and the house will constantly need cleaned! Sad to say that is just life. I was in your position once so I have real compassion for you. Sometimes it seems so overwhelming! My kids, step kids and husband never helped. I was the only one in the house with a job and I swear they all waited for me to do everything in the house! I got fed up with it. but instead of ranting and raving and being the "wicked" step mother I went on strike! I wouldn't do ANYTHING at home and I even made a picket sign for the sink! now that the kids are all gone and it's just me & hubby he helps all the time cooks and vacuums and all

hi jahernandezivas, I am happy to say that it is not like that in my \household, which consist of myself and my son...everytimehe uses a dish he wash it and I mean everytime...if there are dishes in then sink they are mine...which means I have not problem washing them...He uses so much dish detergent some times I wish he did just leave the dih in the sink...but then I think...'BE CAREFUL FOR WHAT YOU WISH FOR"...LOL... and then I count my blessings....lol Now when it comes to cleaning the bathroom or sweeping a floor...thats another story, even tho I must give him credit for keeping the towels, washcloths and rugs washed....every week...and everything else he acts like a boarder.....lol
