Well,in Italy there are a lot of immigrants, so they have to speak Italian. I have anyway met people that live abroad but speaks in Italian. As example a lot of Albanian that are very close to my country and can receive our tv channels from where they learn the language.

Yes, sings and body languages are always the first and better way to communicate. We can always understand others looking at their face expression! Let's think about emoticons: everyone can understand what they mean and they are just drawings!

There are a lot foreigners in my country, tourist, working, PR and new immigrants. Luckily, most of the citizens speaks English and Mandarin. This definitely helps as most of the foreigners are from China.

In America most foreigners speak at least some English. Of course, if you're going to live in another country best to learn the language. Of course between America being a world power and a lot of other countries already speaking English it's not a surprise.

yes, there are many foreigners here in my country who came from many different countries. there are many who can speak our country's language. it's nice to hear when a foreigner speaks our language because it makes me feel like they like our country (and our language). some natives are not speaking our own native language, they are some of the people who feel like foreigners.
