Mumbai Indians beat KKR by 27 runs at Eden Gardens to move to 16 points and more or less secure their place in the playoffs. MI were led by a fantastic century by Rohit Sharma. Rohit was ably supported by Giggs who also weighed in with a half century. Together they took MI to a huge 182/1. Chasing the huge score, KKR could only muster 155/4. With the tournament moving towards the business end, MI is beginning to look awesome. Cheers! Ram

yes. Mumbai Indians have a place. Now. CSK is fighting to beat DDD. If we win we may have some chance -- Delhi daredvil, KKR, Mumbai are sure and now it is CSK or Royal challengers. I support CSK and I wish they win this match.

Yes, with today's win Mumbai Indians have almost sealed their place. Now it would be interesting to see how the match between CSK and DD goes and that would determine the fate of the CSK.

CSK had a excellent who over delhi. Chennai had dominated the hand with ties excellent bowling attack. Chennai had some precious early whaletr of the power hitters. This is the one of the reason why CSK had a easy game with delhi. I hope they will do their best in the coming matches too.

Mumbai had a excellent who against kolkata. Mumbai was dominated on both batting and bowling performance. All the bowlers had put heir good effort in bowling, most of them did not kept their eye on the wickets but they was well control with their economy. KKR had a good batting line us but still they couldn't make it. The big batsmen yusaf pathan and kallis was still in the grease but still they was just blushed at the bowling attack of mumbai. The young man Sharma had a excellent 100. He is the one among the little to score it. He took 109 by facing just 60 balls. Later if was announced as the man of the match . Each of the goes are very important to them to get marked in the play off. I hope mumbai will do the best in the next match too.

I think MI has a fantastic bowling with 3 of their bowlers in the running for the Purple cap. Their key problem has been inconsistent batting. But now with Rohith and Sachin striking form and Gibbs also seeming to be come into form, they have become a formidable team overall. Cheers! Ram

I think Gibbs is the big win for them. That seals their opening problems. If they get half decent a start, they have the middle order to really pile it up. Cheers! Ram

Inconsistency in batting was the one of the problem of MI but for the last game gibbs and sharma had done the best for the team. I hope they will show their amazing innings in the coming matches too.

Hi ram, Let whatsoever other say, I smell match fixing in tonight's game. Top in the form none could come up to the expectation. Is this a DD game that we saw? And MI have never played so fluently before. Or it could be other way round too.

Superb victory for Mumbai Indians! Mumbai have decent batsmen and decent bowlers.Even then Mumbai win matches.Because Mumbai are great game finishers. That why that know how to win matches. In all other teams Batsmen will be strong but not bowlers in some teams bowlers will be strong and batsmen not even strong!! That is why Mumbai won Champions League. They really know how to Finish during last moment and win matches!!!

Rohit Sharma made a great century, his maiden IPL hundred to lift Mumbai on top over Kolkata, stops the winning. He with Herschelle Gibbs contributed 167 runs partnership for 2nd wicket. Rohit dominate the innings with his flashy shots as sachin depart early. He put a massive score on the board for Mumbai to defend. The most consistent in this season of IPL, Knight Riders' bowling line-up slipped up considerably in the hands of Rohit and Gibbs. Batsmen were given a generous dose of short-pitched deliveries together with width that gave them several opportunities to open up hit arounds every corner of the staduim every part of it. Both Rohit and Gibbs displayed a ruthlessness, Sunil Narine, was one who difficult to pick up while other were gone for boundaries and sixes. Kolkata meanwhile has no ans to Rohit brilliant batting nor the chase. They have a severe blow when they lost their captain Gautam Gambhir, who was backbone in the sucess in batting for Kolkata. Though Kolkata fight but it was not enough for them as the top scorer for Kolkata Gambhir got off early. Kallis was untill 18 over but he didn't have the pace to inning, what Rohit and Gibbs had done earlier for Mumbai. Pathan in the end score a decent in his name but didn’t able to bought victory. It was ggood bowling from Mumbai Indians bowlers, who varied their pace on the slowish track. Kallis and Pathan together were on the pitch for almost half of the kolkata innings, but they struggled to keep up with the required-rate and never meet it. Emd kallis lost his wickrts in it was allover. It was a great match as Mumbai give tough competion to broke KKR winning track of 7 games in a row. Mumbai now have more chances of going into the playoff. I think KKR need to have some good batting at the top. While Mumbai had gone good but it may be not always like that.

Yes, Rohit outscoring Gibbs was a surprise to me. And that too by a big margin. It was a real good performance from Rohit and bodes well for the T20 World Cup coming up. Cheers! Ram

Mumbai Indians did a great job against Kolkata Knight Riders winning by 27 runs, Rohit Sharma 109 in 60 balls did the job for Mumbai Indains, Herschelle Gibbs supported well with Rohit Sharma. Mumbai Indians will probably have to win one more as Royal Challengers Bangalore & Chennai Super Kings are near by in points table ...

Yes, MI would require one more win to secure the deal. And yes CSK won yesterday, but the problem is that they have played one game additional to all others. So right now RCB are the favorites, but CSK are still in with a chance. Cheers! Ram

Yea, it was a good match. But, I was kinda torn between loyalties. See, I really find Rohit Sharma a terrific batsman & whenever I've watched national matches, I have always had a liking for Rohit Sharma. He is calm, composed & can stick around for a long time if he puts his mind to it. On the other hand, I am staying in Kolkata so for all intents & purposes, I should support KKR. But, somehow, I felt pretty happy that MI won yesterday's match. I guess the better team won... :-) The asking run rate was pretty high & I had doubts that KKR would be able to make it & this was confirmed after MI took Gautam Gambhir's wicket. KKR was already collapsing when Jacques Kallis also lost his wicket... Anyway, MI have secured their playoff spot & its good. Lets hope they keep the momentum going. Rohit Sharma & Herschelle Gibbs really put a terrific partnership together!!!

I actually think that KKR did not really go full throttle in the chase as soon as Gambhir got out in the first over. They were more intent on getting a hit for Yusuf Pathan. That was probably the one good thing for them from the match. Cheers! Ram
