After a disastrous start, Arsenal managed to qualify for the CL automatically; In Wenger we trust; just hold on to RVP

It was a heart stopper of a sunday. First Tottenham score after 2 minutes and they move into 3rd position. Then Arsenal score to move back to the 3rd position. Then West Brom score one and then another and it looks like old Arsenal. Then Arsenal again score through Santos to level the score, but still behind Tottenham. Then they score the winner to move back to the third place. And again, as Arsene said sometime in the middle of season when Arsenal was trailing Tottenham by 8 points, Arsenal have never finished below Tottenham since he has been a manager. Cheers! Ram

Arsenal were not very consistent this season and it took some luck to secure the third automatic champions league position. How many time did the team broke our hearts this season! Surely, we fans don't want to endure similar experience in seasons to come.

Yes, it was really an up and down season for Arsenal. The way they started the season, it looked like they would finish somewhere in the mid table like Liverpool. But then the renaissance began and the team really came back fantastically to finish third at the end of the season. Cheers! Ram

I feel that if Arsenal will do well next season, they need to buy more than "one or two experienced players". Moreover, the mind set of their players must change drastically to be more competitive and more determined to achieve success. Surely what the team achieved this season was largely due to the in form skipper Robin van Persie. Assuming van Persie were injured and had to be sidelined for sometime Arsenal should have ended up just like Chelsea and maybe like Liverpool. This is not to down play the achievements of both teams named. Another thing that Arsenal should do is to waste less time passing ball around and be more attack minded. They must create cutting edge chances and learn to shoot on target. On average, at least this season, most Arsenal players were disappointing as far as goal scoring is concerned. It's annoying the number of begging chances allowed to go to waste.

I'm glad Arsenal started the season disastrously and ended it well. The team should be grateful to the skipper, Robin van Persie, for almost single handedly rescuing the team from shame. Arsene Wenger, no doubt is a great manager. However, he has to change his mind set if Arsenal will end next season with at least a silverware. It'll be good to hold on to van Persie. It might not be too wise a decision to think that the man is a magician who will rescue the team always. What I can say as an Arsenal fan is that, whether van Persie stays or goes, the team needs some sort of surgical operation; a total over hauling of the players. Players like under-performing Chamakh should go. Theo Walcott has to be more consistent and more productive in his delivery and goal scoring. It's high time to give the young man, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain the chance to prove his worth. For me, player like Per Metesacker was a wrong buy, Djourou and Diaby were hampered by injury and looked spent. Arsenal's defence needs serious reinforcement and the attack must be sharper. Alex Song has grown to be a man and his pin-point passes were very helpful to van Persie to score goals. Well, maybe it's time to recall Ryo Myaichi who was on loan at now relegated Bolton Wanderers.

That is a problem I see in many Arsenal supporters. They viewed the third place as a success after a really poor start. I would like to ask these questions. What causes that poor start? Why wasn't replacement bought much earlier when they knew that both Casc and Nasri is going to leave? These are all man-made problems. Arsenal were challenging for the title consistently not to long ago and a successfully season means a silverware in the locker room. Fast forward now, clinching third place is deemed as a great success. How far the club have fallen behind? If the fans accept this as a good season, it gives the board and Wenger the perfect reason not to strengthen team. Are you going to accept a top four finish (3rd and 4th) as the perfect position? And for the information, I am an Arsenal supporter.

What a season we have had. Congrats to Arsenal for securing 3rd place in the table. Surely RVP has to be given a lot of credit. He has pulled the gunners out on a number of times and surely they will have to concentrate on next season to achieve a higher position. Congrats to Manchester City as well as they achieved the unexpected by blasting in two vital goals in stoppage time to win City the title. Nobody would have expected it to happen. But Mancini and his City boys had other plans in mind and what a way to end the season. it has been a fabalous season as we had to wait until the dying minutes to know who the new champions of England are. Truly Sensational!!!!
