Sometimes I really don't have anything to say...

That's my life, really. More and more recently I don't have too much to say, or not much to discuss in a conversation. Sometimes I would come on to MyLot, read the few discussions, then just log off. Even now my mind is blank. Life is just.... monotonous I suppose. Things that once excited me don't excite me anymore. And I find a lot of people around here gossip and I get bored of that. On Swagbucks the tv channels are mostly about style, celebrity gossip, and the latest in technology. The food videos aren't available here in Canada. Maybe I'm looking for deeper meaning in life. Everything seems to be superficial, so it seems, even at the pentecostal church I attend to with Hubby. The sermons there aren't deep enough for me to really hold my attention. Oh yes, I do get excited over one thing - YARN!!!! :-p

So talk about yarn! It doesn't float my particular boat, but I know loads of people on another group who could talk about it all day!

I've not been talking much myself lately. Sometimes it's nice just to sit back and see what others have to say though.

Hehe, hi, there, GreenMoo, you know I always smile when I see your moniker, it's so cute! :-) Well, I don't ALWAYS wanna talk about yarn, I'm on a forum called knitting paradise and I can talk about that stuff and various knitting stitches and stuff from that because there's a lot of experienced knitters there, it's awesome. I would also like to talk about various topics but I guess I'm turning into a listener more than a talker lately, that's probably what's happening to me.

Ya depression is a social world killer, i been in major depression where all I wanted to do was lay in bed and forget everything about the world around me, it really sucks. But recently I just found that I tend to listen more than talk because I learn so much by listening, and when I don't have anything to say, I just pray quietly and ask G-d to help the person who's talking if they're talking about some problem. Sometimes a good, companionable silence is good too.

Maybe God is asking you to step out of your comfort zone and grab a hold of something different, something new. Remember He has a plan, always a plan. It's a thought.

Might be a possible idea. Sometimes it's to do with my mental illness like I'm afraid of saying the wrong thing as well, other times I just want to listen to others' conversations. There's a lot on my mend, I been doing a lot of reading the Bible and praying, too. Anyway, they say that quiet people will learn more and are less intrusive as well. I like that a lot :-)

Ya!!! You da most boringest person in da whole wide solar system hahahahaha!!! Na sometimes I just don't even know what to say or anything, I mean sometimes I pray and stuff and other times I learn from posts and get different perspectives, even when I don't respond. Yeap knitting and crocheting uses the term "stitches" the same as sewing and embroidery.

I’m not a talkative person, and I notice that as I get older I talk even less and less. These days I am more a listener; even in myLot I tend to read more than I write. However, I’m not really worried about that; in fact, I’m happy with the way I am and there are many things that still giving me motivations in my life with my family on top of the list.

I think that's awesome, learning to be a listener is a great skill that not everyone acquires, that means you learn wisdom, and some people just need to get stuff off their chest and talking to someone who is really listening to you can be really therapeutic. I know myself I've talked to people initially seeking advise but after I was done it was as if a weight been lifted off my chest and the person didn't need to give advise because I just got stuff off my chest. So keep it up, I'm sure you're a very valuable person in your family's life, they are blessed by you

Things like that also happens to me at times. Especially when I feel as if nothing worthy is happening in my life. I am not really a silent type of person because most of the time I have to say a lot of things about something, but sometimes, it's just blank in my mind because I cannot find the point of saying things just for the sake of saying it.

That's true. Before I used to burst out everything that I know or think is revelent but now I'm finding that it pays off to be patient and bring something up or mention something at the appropriate time. I think it's better that way. Some people like Hubby would talk talk talk talk talk talk and more talk even to the point where my ears would be ringing, I end up tuning him out :-p

You would be excited in my storage then. I need to get busy and make some gifts, like you do.I crochet, and I have some old projects to finish. Some I bought at sales that were unfinished as well.As far as communicating goes I went through a real slump for a while. Because I like to make payout I have been trying to force myself to interact more. Is school out soon where you live? Maybe you guys could get out more. I remember last year you were harvesting wild food. I hope you discard any really small yarn scraps for the birds to put in their nests. I try to help them out some time. They sure like to eat the cherries from my trees.

Actually it's funny you mentioned what I do with the scraps because I actually save my scraps and cut them up into small pieces then store them into bags. I'm saving them up for stuffing for - oh, I don't know, maybe a pillow or cushion or something like that? Anyway I don't want to waste them at all. Ya I'll be harvesting wild food this year as well. We still got a few berries and rosehips in our freezer, and I want to learn more about that.

Haha ya food, me luvs food as well, that's why I'm so heavy! LOL Sometimes I watch Martha Stewart shows and she got some good ideas on how to prepare food, for example, when mixing dry ingredients for cakes and muffins she sifts them through a wire strainer, and the cakes comes out nice and fluffy instead of dense or like a big heavy lump, and she also showed us how to make fruit vodkas and fruit leathers, that would be good because I have a food dehydrator here at home.
