He proved his point. You cannot drive and text at the same time. Even those French students know it. Oh and the instructor has separate controls, so he can stop the car before an accident happens, for your information.

Unfortunately, most drivers doing this already have their licence and don't have a backup plan..

We shouldn't need to have rules or laws imposed to tell us how irresponsible or dangerous this activity can be...

Atleast some were smart. Texting and talking on the phone are so stupid. I still can't understand people. So selfish. There is a law against texting here and I am glad of it. The police are wondering how to tell the difference between someone texting or just talking on the phone. DUH!

Cops have a ZT rule on suspects with weapons, don't they? if there's something in your hand it would be "Drop the Weapon..or else".. If you're caught driving using a phone in your hand they could work with a similar assumption..it's in your hand, you're prepared to use it.. Here,Police look at the issue that having your hand(s) off the wheel means you're not in full control of the vehicle-so whether you're eating, drinking, texting,or whatever, you're nicked....

Would using a speakerphone kit be legal? if so,anybody wanting to talk in the car should have one. Mine is battery powered and bluetooth (wireless) connected..I can take it with me and clip it to the sun visor in any car (not that I make a habit of using it..I have it IN CASE I need it..) I too think that crazy that they'd permit hand held cellphone use but only prosecute for texting!

I didn't understand it because if they are on the phone they should be going against the law anyway. Shouldn't be using a cell phone and driving. But if the cop is only able to give a ticket for texting then how can they differenciate between just talking on the phone and texting?

Yeah, beneath the YouTube video it asks us to share it. So I did. Definitely needs a wider audience.

That is a funny video, but then he does have a point.. you can never text while driving-that is hard to look at the phone, then the rad.. People should learn from this video.

Only REAL multitaskers would be driving if that were real...
