Greetings soccer fans, It now only around 3 weeks before the EURO starts, which it would be hosted in Poland and Ukraine. The groups would be: A:Poland,Greece,Russia,Czech Republic B:Netherlands,Germany,Denmark,Portugal C:Spain,Italy,Ireland,Croatia D:Ukraine,Sweeden,France,England So who do you think would be the favorites this time? Spain and Germany seem to perform really well in the last qualifications round so they are considered by many as the big favorites this time and maybe we could see the final repeating. Also teams that everytime are considered as being in the favorites such as, Italy, Netherlands, France and England can't be left without chances to win the cup and maybe Portugal as an outsider. I'd also like to see my country's (Greece) team go as far a they can go and since they managed to reach another final round is really good, being in the final round for 3rd consecutive time and 4th time overall. I don't think we can perform "a 2004 miracle" with this team but surely the premier against the host Poland in June 8 would show if our team can reach the next round since the teams in group A are close to each other in quality. How about you? Who you would cheer for? What's your county's team expectations? :) Share your thoughts about the upcoming Euro :)

For me Spain were the favorites till injury to David Villa came about. Without David Villa and Torres in suspect form, Spain might struggle to score important goals despite great build up in the midfield. For me now the strong favorites are Germany to win this title. They have been improving as a team and have become stronger every year. Cheers! Ram

I think they can both play there, but neither of them are really in the same class as David Villa or even Torres in his current form. Cheers! Ram

Spain surely have a problem with Villa's injury. Maybe Soldado would be the special one for Spain's offence this time, since Torres isn't performing good and Llorente is what we call a "heavier forward".

what about Llorente and soldado?/ can they be an alternative forward for Spain in euro cup 2012?

I will definitely keep a lookout for the England team as they have a tendency to drop out of the tournament earlier than what most fans expect them to be. It will also be interesting to see how the new manager Roy Hodgson deals with his new team where somehow Rio Ferdinard was left out of the team.

Yeap as soon as they don't reach in a penalty shootout (:P) then they can go at least to QF since it's a 3-way group between England France and Sweden as an outsider. I don't think the hosts, Ukraine could go to the next round. Except if the hosts would have a slight push :P

Yeap Italy tends to perform good in occasions like this one where not many believe that can go great, as they did in WC06. Germany and Spain can be called the favorites but about holland I think they might blew it again in a knockout match like in QF or SF even though they have a great team.

The usual suspect will be there, Spain, Germany, Holland, Portugal, France and if the English media is to be believe, England too. I think it will be between Germany and Holland.

I think it's a little difficult for holland to go all the way to the final, since they tend to go great in group stage and then they make a poor performance in a knockout match and then they are off. But sure it's there are many teams that have a chance going great in the cup finals.
