Acer Aspire comes with a built in wifi. There's no need to have a driver. You can just activate it by pressing the wifi sign on the keyboard and can be found in F key! Hope it help!!

Wifi comes with the unit and not necessary to download even when you changed your OS.It will comes out with error maybe your OS the one you replaced with the original is not a genuine licence. Your unit Acer Aspire is 64bit and that most xp has its 32bit range. So your unit cannot make a good compatibility with your XP OS. You'd rather stick with your operating system that comes with your unit otherwise it will end up errors all the time.

cloud, the Aspire 3610 was designed to work with Windows XP. It shipped from Acer with either XP Home SP2 or XP Professional SP2 installed on it.

It sounds to me like the driver may not have installed correctly. Have you tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it yet?

You could check for older versions of the driver on the support website. I know Dell has these on their page, not sure if Acer does. Hope it works out for you.
