I noticed the other day and my glasses kept falling down my face. The arm piece is hanging on by a little metal thread. These are kids glasses and I'm sure not made to last. I've had them for 3 or 4 . Years now but they are about $1,000 which is why I try to push them to the max (normally 4 years). I should be getting my eyes checked in the next few weeks (I may call to make sure this week) but now I have to replce my glasses too. But I'm hoping they last until my appointment as I need them to see or else ill be taping them together.

I had to tape my glasses together last fall, and then in the winter I did get new glasses. I thought my new glasses were expensive. Everything I hear about where you are is more costly than here.

Well my glasses cost so much because I have to get special lenses, and coatings. Im blind in one eye, and very low vision in the other. So they have to make sure they wont break, and no glare so on. My family and friends pay about $500.00 or so depending on their prescription lenses. But the cost of everything in Canada is a lot higher than the US.

I know about special coatings, etc. but I still hear you about the expense. I have lineless bi focals and I have anti glare coating. If I get big lenses, which I like for the peripheral help, then my glasses are too thick and heavy.Even though they are made of plastic.

$1000! I would put them back together with nail glue if I had to to get additional wear out of them. I need glasses too. I am wearing a pair that is about 13 yrs-old, I think it is time for me to buy another pair.
