Suggesting / introducing Friend in facebook

I think at one time, facebook has an ability to give suggestion to a person to add a person. I think it is "suggest friend" the name of the features. It usually useful for new user, when he / she doesn't have a lot of friend in facebook.
But now, i cannot find the features anymore. Do you have any idea about the feature of facebook that i am talking about? What do you think about the feature? Where can i found the feature?

You know, the only time that I really see this is when I find a friend of mine that has just joined facebook and I really don't look for it in between. With that said, I will only suggest friends to people when I know that they really know the people that I am suggesting that they become friends with. For example, when a family member joins facebook, I will suggest that they become friends with all of the rest of the family members.

Well so it is meant that you will not try introduce a new friend to your friend. You can only suggest people that you sure that friend is known in the real world. I think it is wise to do so, since not many people want stranger in their facebook account. Thanks for shairng dotannmwin.

I had to go find it on Facebook - especially since the first poster said it was in a drop down list - but I couldn't find it initially! So look at where you see the buttons for Friends - Messages - and it should be the gear looking icon next to the Message button. In the drop down, you will see suggest friends. Phew! I thought that feature was lost too - I hadn't used it in a long time!! I've connected people I knew from work or school with that - and it's up to them whether they want to keep in touch or not. So I think it's rather useful!

Well yes, like you said and the first poster said, it actually hidden under the message. Since i actually always sent messages using facebook chat, i hardly notice the button. Anyway, since i found it now, maybe i might try to use it. But only for people that are new on facebook, if they are already stayed on facebook for a long time, there is a high chance that the person i introduce to them actually a person that they don't want to add on facebook.
