In our country their will be election next year and right now most if not all politician want to do what the Filipino people want them to do. Like the impeachment of Supreme Court Chief Justice. I'm sure even Mr. Corona will found guilty as most people want him to be found guilty I'm still believe that non disclosure of SALN is just a minor office not strong enough for impeachment. But I still do believe that Mr Corona is guilty of none disclosure.

Our country is both political and religion-conscious. In order to get the votes of the people and the church, the politicians fail to look into their beliefs and ideas. Everybody just wants to get into the favor of the powers that be and never mind their conscience. There are only a few politicians that I admire and that is Francis Escudero and Miriam Defensor. They always fight for the truth even if it is against the will of the greater majority. Whether CJ Corona is guilty or not of the crime of omission in his SALN, I still believe he was prosecuted in the name of vengeance for Hacienda Luisita. If he is impeached we lose the check and balance and the administration will be holding all the ropes from the legislature to the judiciary. Will the economy recover after the impeachment and the next coming elections? Your guess is as good as mine.

I do agree. If only we can have a government that is willing to clean up our bureaucracy the better. Problem is that our politicians is a career politicians. If we can only pass a low that no politician can occupy the same position for more than 6 years either then I guess their will be no trapo. Also no politician who occupies higher post can run in lower post. But I guess this kind of laws will never going to be passed by professional politicians.

We will still be seeing the same faces come election time. Once again, the people will vote according to popularity and recognition. The impeachment trial gave way for these politicians to gain media mileage. I will no longer be surprised if we see the likes of Leila de Lima or Neil Tupaz or Rodolfo Farinas filing their candidacy for a Senate position. Only a minority will be using their minds and conscience when they cast their votes and this will not be enough to sway the votes towards the more deserving candidates. While all this brouhaha is going on the poor Juan dela Cruz remains wallowing in poverty and degradation.

I hope that the people handling his case would do what is right and not what is popular because if they'd go even outside the realm of what is right and just doing it for popularity sake and for putting a good face for elections next year, then such impeachment trials are useless. Sometimes, I honestly wish that such impeachment trials will be handled by other authorities outside our country so that there won't be any biased judgment coming out in the end. But again, we don't have such international authorities. It's just that I really don't trust our system anymore. I hate to admit it but our justice system is just way down below. I'm just saying.

I agree. I think the best way to make a fair trial is to have an out of the country trial and in our country its allowed by our constitution to seek justice using the international court. Our constitution is a well thought constitution but problem is that most politician if not all are corrupt.

To be honest, I really didn't know that our country is allowed to seek justice using international court. I think that would have been better and faster, unlike what they're doing right now, prolonging the trial and the agony of not only those who are directly involved with the trial, but most especially we Filipinos and spectators. It's disgusting and disheartening at times to watch clips and videos or even read articles about the whole trial and never seem to really get nowhere any conviction and closure. I mean, I think we deserve better. And having corruption as one of our biggest problems as a nation, it would have been way better if other authorities have handled this whole situation.

Now that he's been convicted guilty of the offense he's been into, I think that President Aquino is now happy. There has been a lot of things going on inside and out of the government offices. Mr. Corona is at fault because he has given the prosecutors a reason for them to charge him. We are awaiting next year's election and a lot of politicians are doing what is popular to gain votes for themselves. I don't think that there are a lot of changes in the way politics is done here in our country. May you have a wonderful day ahead with a lot of blessings.

Do what's right. They say that the right path is usually the most difficult! That is why many people choose the easy way. I am not familiar with the politicians in your country but from my experience I know that politicians never tell the whole truth. They usually put their personal ambitions and their need for power above any public demand. It's very hard to find one politician that will do what's best for the country without thinking about himself.

That's true. I guess its popularity that make it right. As they say democracy is about having the majority vote. So if most of the people agree even if its wrong I guess its become right for the sake of the majority.

I say do what is right. I live in the states and our election is this year in Nov. alot of people will be voting for the popularity but I will be voting for the right person to serve our country. No matter how you look at it people are going to have different views. So, I feel that you should go for what your heart and mind knows and not what other people feel and think. The choice is yours
