We had 2 pickup trucks and 2 trailers loaded today. Plus SIL and daughter made another load with their car. There were 5 people helping including myself. I couldn't do any heavy lifting. Just walking and standing and packing stuff wore ne slap out. The Internet is off and the modem is packed. I have my mobile Internet and my iPhone to mylot with. I'll be glad to sleep in my new hone tomorrow night. There is so much to do. Do much cleaning to do after we leave. The next time I move I hope it is to my cremation urn. My daughter better set me a bottle if hot sauce by it too or I'll come back to give her a piece if my mind! Just joking. Moving is so hard!

yep moving is very hard. It looks like it is going to be years before I move up on the list to move. Instead of the numbers of people ahead of me going down, it is going up.

it stays on for months then something trips it and it goes on and off for two months or so until it settles down.

@winteroseYour moving list must be giving vouchers or whatever to the military coming home or something.

That is awful. I know how badly you need to move too. Hope the power has stayed on for you. It's awful to be working on a piece and the power goes off.

I find moving is a really good time to downsize. Even then it is horrid. I thought the sentence about hoping your next move is into your urn. I wonder if mine will be. I have to move from here for a few months a couple of years ago. Then I moved back in here. Long story. But it was horrible. I hope you like your new home and that it all works out. Do you know if the washer and dryer work yet?

Hi Celticeagke. I don't know yet about the washer and drier. My daughter said we didn't have time for that yet. I hope it does or we will have to buy a used one from the man down the street. B said she knows the man that sells used appliances.

Well we are over at the new house putting stuff away. When S's uncle gets home from church he will come with his truck and trailer to get our beds.

Hi PointlessQuestions, I agree that moving is difficult but once it's over you will soon forget about it. Enjoy your new home and I hope you are many years away from your cremation urn. Blessings.

That is great that you had a lot of help. I remember when we moved from Idaho to Nevada Randy and I were on our own and it was stressful. Randy and I were both in school at the time and he had also been hospitalized overnight one week before the move which made things tougher. Now most of our stuff is in storage and this Thursday we will be moving to another storage place because the one we are at now is expensive and it has no air conditioner. I am glad that my brother will be helping us the most because Randy cannot bend much and really cannot use his foot. I know we will be moving a couple of more times in my life because we do not like the area much and I miss living in the country. If it was not for Randy's health we would have stayed in the country. It is hard living with my parents because Randy and I have no privacy and I cannot work on my crafts as much as I want to. I miss my Queen Room because I was able to keep it the way I wanted to and I could espcape in there without being bothered.

Yo and Randy are really going through a lot. I hope you both can find a great place where you both can be comfortable.

It has been hard especially since Randy and I were told that we could live her and save our money until we can get back on our feet. I buy food for the family and they expect more. My mom wants us to pay all their bills and their mortgage. Last night my mom said, "well, the property tax is due soon and it is X amount" I said why tell me this Randy and I do not have much money and she said well, your finanical aid money should be coming in soon and besides why don't you ask for government assistance. I said, if we were able to get housing from the government don't you think Randy and I would be using that ourselves. I told her that my financial aid money covers my tuition and books and if I am lucky I can put the rest aside for emergencies. If my parents were cutting back on their spending I would help them out, but they continue to spend money and I refuse to pay their debts.

I am glad you will soon be donw with and its over. Reminds me of my own moving to my new hometown when I got married. we got married in September 2005 but I had wanted to keep the apartment in my old hometown over the winter to see whether I would need it in order not to commute all the time. Hubby thought this gives him the freedom to drag and drag the moving we did just with the car bit by bit and I ended up paying both rents for my old place and our new place for about half a year. Grrrrr.

Oh hi there, PQ! You are moving your house? that must be really hard! Well, yes, it is really hard moving things around and when you got to your new home, youhave to place them in your preferred choice again. Really tiring, I can say! I am also experiencing the same thing. Moving things everyday.from house to another house... Oh, why did you joke around about your cremation? I think it's not a good joke, PQ! Don't do that if you don't want it to happen that fast... you can still live and see more of your loved ones, dear!

I agree, moving is a lot of hard work. Last time we moved from an apartment to a house, we gave ourselves 15 days to complete the process. We were thinking not to hire a removalist to save money, and just to do it ourselves with the help of our sons. So we did it little by little every day, and no matter how well we thought we had it planned, it was still a stressful process. I hope we'll stay in our current place even after the kids are moving out; I'd very much not having to move anywhere again...
