I actually got to sleep in this morning. The traffic outside my house is horrible right now! But that is Memorial Day weekend in a recreational area. I staggered out of bed to the sounds of Bill delivering the trash from last night's barbecue. I sort the trash for recyclables, food left overs for the critters, and simple trash. When I finish sorting there isn't much "trash" for the dump. Anyway, Bill left and I wandered back in the house in time to see Khuay go flying by during his morning exercise routine. The routine amounts to racing through the house at high speed, jumping on the bed and doing laps around it, jumping back down after three laps and racing down the hallway to the work room. He does the run about four times, with variances into the bathroom and tub and sometimes into the family room. This morning he included several high jumps, one in the bedroom onto their "perch" in front of the window and then he came racing down the hallway towards the work room. I was just walking towards the animal food bins when he did his second high jump. This jump was onto the television in the work room. He was so graceful in his running, like a muscular Olympian. His jump rivaled that of an Olympic high jumper, total grace and beauty in flight. The sunlight reflected of his long, muscular, creamy white body; accenting his red orange tail as it rotated in circles to maintain his balance in flight. His creamy white paws stretched for the television set, landing their spot like a ballerina. The midsection followed in the planned chirographiced ballet. His hind legs following through the momentum of flight. It was true grace in motion...UNTIL...the hind end slid on the front of the television and in the scramble to save himself from falling one foot hit the "ON" button to the television, and the loud voices startled our athlete and he fell off the TV and raced for the bedroom and his favorite hiding spot under the bed! He finally crept out from under the bed and "strolled" into the family room, glaring at the TV that I have on for company while I work on the computer. So much for the morning "workout"!!!

Hi Loverbear! I just can't get enough of the "Khuay Chronicles"! I think you should write a book and name it that! I definitely think you would have a "best seller"! Think how many cat lovers there are who could "relate". I know I can. My cats do so many crazy stunts that amaze me and scare the cr_p out of me at the same time! My cat Star likes to walk across my kitchen cabinets when I put the oven on and leave it open to "warm the apartment" in the Winter. I am always afraid he is going to land on the lid of the oven, but he never does and insists on staying on top of that cabinet! He does this daring "highwire act" with an invisible wire! Both him and his brother Luna are constantly doing something bizarre. I have plastic on my couch to keep them from scratching it. They both like to go underneath the plastic! My bf couldn't believe it when he saw Luna lying under there! He looked like he was trying to "sufficate" himself! Then we saw Star doing it too!

Is Star Siamese or part Siamese? For some reason that breed loves to be extra warm. We had one Siamese that would curl up on the burner of the stove just after my Mom would turn it off. He never got burned and would sleep there very happily until the burner cooled off. I bet Star and Luna are a sight when they get off the couch! Since plastic creates static electricity I bet their hair stands on end like they are in the middle of a confrontation! Plus they must be a sight laying there under the plastic like a stuffed toy in a display box!

ROFL!!!!! I started snorting and laughing as I read this, and Bill asked me what was so funny. So I read it to him, but when I got to the part about the tv, I was giggling so hard that I almost couldn't keep reading. We both had tears rolling by the time I got done! And I could just picture Khuay doing every move too! LOL

Maggiepie's old cat isn't much for exercise, but she stomps around on her bed side table and changes the channel on the TV all the time!

I totally love to watch a house cat recover from making a fool of it's self. If only we humans could renstate our dignity with such grace. Grest discussion, I could picture the whole thing.
