i think this one is good topic to start. ^_^ but for me never trying is worse because he/she didn't even try at first so it means he/she is quitting, and all quitters never succeed.. it's good to be failed because you can see your mistakes and make it right when you do it again.. like the quote says "try and try until you succeed" ^_^ what do you think guys?

Depends on the situation. Sometimes it's better to try and fail then to not try, and sometimes it's better just to not try. A situation that would put your life in danger would be a good reason to not try.

I agree a whole lot on this post.. The circumstances we are in differ in each person.. There are many factors to consider like peer pressure, what our family might think, status quo, etc. before we take action on something unless that person has an impulsive attitude.. Trying may be a positive word but the outcome is not always good.. So, I think the best answer would be... IT DEPENDS!

I would agree that it is worst never to try anything and wait for something to happen - you will realize that you have only wasted your time waiting for the right timing. People who never try never learn, people who never try never wins, people who never try never succeeds because they have done nothing to begin with.

Failing is never a bad thing unless you live in a society whereby failure is to be avoided like plague. So like the rest of the comments, it is worse not to try.

Never trying is worse because you give in to fear and will never know what you are made of. The old adage is to try and try and never give up or try until you succeed. Failing while trying makes you stronger, while never trying guarantees a life of disappointments.

that depends when the thing you will try is not applicable to you, for example you are a boy and it is for girls. -- just kidding. For me never trying is the worst thing in earth. Think, if every president of every country did not try to improve the country. Then there all countries will not be in what they are in now. And trying keeps us from failing the second time.

Hiya rjcp25, So very true if you do not try to do anything you will never get to know if it would have ever turned out right whatever it is or was depending of course. This morning I was trying out a cooking pot and put the program to pasta and so never having done this one before I had pictures of it coming out right and I read the instructions right too but alas I had to take the pasta out of the cooking pot for the pasta and boil it up in the ordinary saucepan. Well after a while I realized I had missed an instruction out but I had not tried I would never have known would I so now I know for the next time and I am going for it again because there is nothing worse than an overheated kitchen in this very hot weather and the cooking pot for the pasta saves me all that getting overheated and having to keep opening all the doors again. With other things this week I have learned where I went wrong drastically wrong in writing some things up but at least I had some fun doing them and trying them out. Well one could go on forever about things that they have never tried or tried and failed but if you fail you are really learning how to succeed are´nt you at least that is how I see it now. So let´s all keep on trying till we succeed.xxx

I agree with you.. Never trying is worse than failing since if you don't try at all then you would always have regrets.. you would never know the outcome..and it will bother you.. "it isn't the thing you do, it's the thing you leave undone"...it's from a poem.

Never trying is the correct answer for me, since without trying we are not really sure if we can make it or not. Failing is far better since through failure we learn to know what needs to be done next.

Yes, you are right, when you try to do something, you can fail but you can learn about mistake and do it again, you can success but if you don't do it, you never succsess

Absolutely agree with you rjcp25 ^^ When we fail, at least we got something to learn from that failure. But, when we never try, then we got nothing at all.

i believe that failing is best because if you never try how would you know if you will succeed or fail if you never try and if u do try and fail then u know where u made your mistakes that way the next time you can learn from them...

Never trying. Because if you never tried, you never would have known if you could succeed. Never trying would lead to regret and regret is one of the worst feelings in life.

I definitely agree with what you said. Never trying is the worst thing. A person can never achieve or accomplish any task without trying. It doesn't matter if a person fails in the first try, he/she can, and should go on trying and trying as you just quoted above that "Try and try until you succeed." If a person never fails, he will never be aware of his mistakes. Failing gives an opportunity to a person to correct his mistakes and learn from it. A well-known person quoted that "Try and fail but don't fail to try! " And it is important that we shouldn't lose hope at all if we fail because we aren't judged by the number of times we fail but we are judged by the number of times we succeed. :)

Never trying is worse, of course. When you tried and then failed, there's always a room for improvement. Actually its a good thing since you'll know where you wentwrong and maybe later you could apply to your future experiences. But, when you never tried, regret will continue to haunt you until you check it out yourself.

Better take a piece of paper and draw a vertical line at the middle. On one side write failing and the other side never trying. As days go by, try to add one or more advantages of failing or never trying. After some time passed, the column with more written is the better of the two.

I think 'never trying' is worse than failing because the question of failing does not arise if you do not try at all.

It is better to try and fail than fail to try. How would we know our capabilities if we didn't dare to try? How do we think we succeed if we are so afraid to try a thing because we don't want to fail. But I know that this is not an easy thing to do. I understand why so many people get tired already in trying because of so many failures. But failures are part of our lives and it should be our motivating factor to try again until we succeed.

I would say failing is better than never trying. Check my profile to see why.
