Have you ever heard that song from the musical Annie? I used to be a part of that play when I was a member of a choral group in my younger days. I couldn't remember the lyrics of the song anymore but this discussion is not about that play. Let me get to the real gist of this discussion. Life has been good for me so far, despite what I went through, almost losing my one and only son, God is still good to me and didn't want me to suffer. Life goes up and down. It may be hard sometimes we feel like giving up one minute, but then again something good would happen and you feel you are at your best again. It's a cycle. At this age I couldn't say yet that I've been through the worst and I hope there won't be any. How's your life been lately?

Most definitely, life has been a series of ups and downs for me lately. Add to that are some monotonous events in my life. But yeah, you're right. It's a cycle and at this point in my life, I have to say that I am able to handle some difficulties in a very different manner compared to how I handled harsh situations a few years back. There was even a point in my life that I had to question my existence and even wondered when the stage of depression will end. But, it did end. And now, things have changed and my outlook towards life and difficult situations have definitely changed a lot. I may not be able to say the specifics but I know that there's so much that have changed in me especially when it comes to failures and successes in life.

That is called maturity. I'm glad that you were able to handle depression on your own and are now seeing changes in life.

Yep, I'm very glad about those changes. I'm not saying though that I'm the totally mature kind of person but I can say that I am proud to have gained a little maturity in the process. Sometimes, one has just got to hit rock bottom and be able to look up and realize that the only direction left when you're at your lowest is up. It felt good. It feels good. I must say I'm getting better at it.

My dearest Princess, i'm glad you are happy! My son is recovering well and he had quite an ordeal. The infection had reached his liver but the surgeon was able to clean it all up. Right now he just misses doing all his outdoor activities and today i saw him staring out the window, looking at other kids playing. Good thing was they came over, Craig went out in the garden and they watched something on his ipad.

Thta great Toni that he's all well. Such a shame that he cannot go out and play. Why don't you arrange a video game day for him and his friends, make them snacks etc so they can come in and he isn't left out? :)

Well, I'm a goal oriented person. The way I look at life is through stages.. Right at the present time I'm in the stage of learning - since I'm still a student. The moment I graduate I plan on being an entrepreneur or a self-employed guy and be stable and help my parents as well. After that I'll be making my own family. ... I'm an optimist and I never look at life's obstacles my worst times.. rather they are my opportunity to educate myself more - times.

You are still young and very idealistic. I was so much like you. Yes you are learning at that age. In time there's more to life that you will get to know.

I am happy to note that you are on your happy state again Toni. Trials and troubles are part of life . God allows that so we can see how strong he is when he gives us his help. I have been through the worst of my life already, in fact, i don't want to remember it again nor talk about it anymore. Though, it would haunt me once in a while. But because i really relied on God to lead me on how to live my life now, i can say that i am happy though not free from downs once in a while. What makes me happy though Toni, is in the midst of some downs, God is there when i call for his help. I am so thankful he lets me and my family to be happy most of the times.

We are truly blessed D! I could never stop thanking God for all the blessings he has given me. I know i'm not perfect and without sin but i'm sure he won't punish as he is a very forgiving God.

Well, dear friend Toniganzon, if I remember correctly you and me we met in a chat payer called, "RO2". Remember? From what you told me then, and it took about two years, I understood that you, perhaps a mild form, you suffered for something! Or am I wrong? Instead remember Nadina?, That she was always in good spirits! However I believe that in life, we must always look ahead and (this is what everyone tells me,) especially to think positive! Do not believe you, even I'm not going at all a good time, family problems, financial problems, I'm out of work, etc.. I do not despair, however, because I always belive that in the end there is always a remedy for everything!

Actually life is exactly how you describe it. And so is my own too. Sometimes it is nice, and sometimes very hard. I don't think there is someone who has had only a pleasant life. I think both kinds of events enrich our life.

Life itself is hard. And sometimes it is a struggle. I also believe that the unfortunate look at the fortunate and think they have a charmed life. Even the wealthy or fortunate people have their issues and ups and downs. The one sure thing in this life is there is no such thing as perfection. It is what me make if it.
