They cancelled my order!

I'm pissed right now. I ordered a laptop from Walmart online 3 days ago. I need it for online courses, work and well personal just as banking. I just got an email they cancelled it. But didn't give a reason. My Dad fiddled with my old laptop and its charhing. So I'm hoping I can get enough juice to submit my assignment. But I don't know how much it will last as its just hanging onto the motherboard. I'm calling Walmart tomorrow and complaining asking why and the hassle I'm being put through.

It seems strange that they weren't more forthcoming with their unhelpful or informative notification email..No "It's out of stock" or whatever other excuse they could come up with? Just "Your Order has been cancelled"? What about your payment or a refund?..I know Amazon will ask for a contact phone number in case of some delivery issue,wouldn't Walmart do something similar?

They asked for my number but never called me. They refunded me the money but never gave a straight answer. So I tried calling today and got nothing, but put on hold and I had to go to work so Ill be trying tomorrow.

It's almost as though they didn't want to take your Money or need your business..that's strange...

Gosh, why would they do that, you are a paying customer, unless they don't want to make money. I just don't get it. I would piss too if I were you. I expected something so much, and then they would all of sudden cancel your order. I just definitely file a complain against them. Why not go on BBB.org, and file a complaint against their business model.

I tried calling today and no answer so Im fuming even more. I went and bought a refurbished laptop at Futureshop for a lot cheapier. But I still will be filing a c omplaint. I was waiting for it as I use the computer and internet a lot for personal things such as schooling, banking and so on.

I had learned that the customs confiscated laptops going out of the US. I don't know when the ban would be lifted.

Sorry to hear about the cancellation, what a bad stroke of luck. Hope you can work it out so that you can get the new laptop you want and need. Your dad is the go-to guy for repairs, what a man.

That is wrong! They should give a reason and if not they should give a number to call and get a reason for it! It's not fair that you have to wait and not even being told why. If they are out of stock, it's not your problem it's theirs as it should have reflected on the site. Hope you can figure out why and what went wrong. I think you should be given something for your troubles, a giftcard at the least.

well. bad luck mate.but to admit, tis is the 1st time that i am hearing negative comment abt walmart..anyways gud luck..do make it a point to complain..it is often the silence on the part of customer that serve as a fertilizer for these care free acts of big shpping marts!!!

I remember placing an order for an item online. The order was cancelled without my requesting to do so. I was capable of making the purchase, and waited for the funds to be taken out of my account and the shipment. With all the waiting I was doing, I should have known there was a problem. Well, got the news of the cancellation by email, and I thought to myself; with all the time it took, I could have had the item if I got it from a more trusted online store. Anyway, I am sorry to hear of your experience with your item from Walmart. For the most part, that is unlike them.

Oh gosh! That's not good at all! Maybe it's an error. Hope you can get to the bottom of it. Did they take your mine or credit it back to you. I was worried about buying it online but I felt it was fine since it is walmart.

Oh my gosh! What a way to let you down! What timing indeed! I didn't know they could just cancel orders without calling the client and giving reason. It's unlikely because usually when decisions are done they would have been required to submit a report with a reason for cancellation or decision. You go right on ahead and complain to them. It's not good that they do that after 3days! I guess you can't do anything about that now but just to use and pray that your laptop would be okay for a while. Any idea what your dad had been doing with it prior? If it's something software related you can set it back to the original state with the 'Restore Point' back up that windows usually have. If it's hardware related then try to look for someone who has an idea about such. Good luck! Have a great MyLOt experience ahead!
