Scams or legit sites?

This is my first time to look for online sites for charities. I want to donate some of my earnings on these online sites and the one that looks very easy to use and I can pay using Paypal is this PhilippineCharities.com. I think this is based in Cebu and I cannot find a review of this site if it is scam or legit. I visit operation blessing site but it seems hard to pay them online because they don't use paypal to receive donations. Do you know of any sites that use Paypal for donations, legit sites and honest sites where we can use to apportion some of our earnings to be use for feeding programs, education, environment and livelihood programs?

Charity sites mostly get donations through bank accounts. However, there are websites, most especially small websites who wants to have money and get donations from their visitors. That is why, they planned to put paypal donation buttons to their site. Actually, there are many sites who are using it. Actually, i am also planning to put a paypal donation button to my blog site so that i can get extra earnings for myself, even though this is not a charity site. Haha.

Haha,I know what you mean, I saw that in other blogs the donation button in paypal. I want to raise funds something like that and give back to the poor but I am not sure if I will not be tempted to use some on my own. So for now, I just want to donate some portion from my money.

Paypal does team up with a lot of charities around the world. I wasn't able to locate any in the Philippines, but that doesn't mean there aren't any. I don't know about the PhilippineCharities.com, but you'd have to check with Paypal to see if they have been approved as a charity with them or if they're just using a generic Paypal account. If generic, I'd avoid them. One of the places that I know has legitimate Paypal charities is Networkforgood.com. The closest location to you is Guam since all the charities there are US charities, but they do all accept PayPal. Also, this link takes you to the charity groups Paypal partners with, one of which is Networkforgood. You should be able to go to them and then to their homepages to find out who their charities are. Maybe one of them will work for you. That link is: https://merchant.paypal.com/cgi-bin/marketingweb?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=merchant/donations

You sure have a heart of gold, averygirl72! Why don't you just send your donations to my account instead? LOL just kidding. Most of the charity sites on the net are just scams, so I wouldn't recommend you start pouring your hard earned money on these site. Why not withdraw your paypal funds and use the money to personally give the money to charity organization in your area? That way it has a personal touch and you're sure that it falls to people deserving to receive it. Plus, you could get in touch with beneficiaries.
