I am a single mom and I have taken both online courses and courses on campus. I find it easier to take courses on campus because I learn from watching and group discussions. My question to you is, as a parent wanting to go back to school would you take online courses or courses on campus and why? What would make it or break it for you?

for me i think it is still effective to take the courses in the campus rather than taking online courses,it because when you are in school you can focus to the thing that you do,no one will disturb or making you hurry up,no things need to think of.so you can learn a lot.

You can do that both option depend your situation. If you still have baby , I prefer you to take online course in home. You can care your baby and you can get more knowledge from your online course. And If you nothing to do in home, just go to campus. It more fun and you can meet any one

I have a friend who is a single mom and she has taken both types of courses. She has also taken weekend courses, where you go one weekend a month for 6 months. This takes one day and you have a work to do at home but you do get to interact with other students. Do what ever works for you but keep learning, you will never regret it.

Why not make it half and half. I knew some parents just can't attend classes like regular schedule, besides working, or babysit their children, they have to do house chores. So, the only better choice for them is online courses. I have to see some parents work 2 jobs, and they still attend schools, that is amazing, and I don't know how they do it. So, I guess, half online courses, and half attending campus courses can be adjustable.

Hello bwilliamsfc Education school do not place a barrier on life. As long the individual has a resolute spirit. Enrolling for courses for any type depends on your realms daily. It is depends on your rate of comprehension. If you are person that is gregarious, online would be of no help to your schooling. But a reserved person will benefit more with online courses. As for depending on the time, either will do for me.
