hello there, I think this is a nice discussion topic. When I was a little child, I saw adults that are popping their fingers, and it made me curious of what does it feels like, and i have tried it and it became my daily routine to pop my fingers when I am bored or when my fingers are tired. I find it stress relieving in my fingers but as time goes by. I noticed that the bones in my fingers are getting big and I stopped popping fingers. How about you? Do you pop your fingers? Why? What is your experience about it?

I have very rarely ever popped my fingers. I have tried to do it before and they would hardly ever do it, not to mention that for me it actually hurts and I can not stand the sound it makes. I know lots of people do it and they say it actually feels good to do it, but I just never have. I have also heard that it can be bad for you, but who knows. I guess it's just one of those habits I never grew to have,

Well in my situation, I still popping out my fingers because I am already getting used popping them and it is my way of relieving stress. It is a very nice feeling popping fingers especially when the situation gets cold. I can not stop popping my fingers and maybe that is why I still have small sized hands like female hands. My colleagues also wondered why my hands can fit in an extra small or small sized examination gloves.

I popped my fingers too, before.. but now, not so much.. I liked the feeling of it, since as you said it is kind of stress relieving.. But my mom advised against it since she also popped her fingers before and it makes skin look ugly or saggy and the bones bigger.

Yes, I do pop my fingers occasionally. More like a release of tension on the joints rather than out of habit. And yes, the joints tends to be grow bigger if you have the habit of popping them.

Hello gelomon I have been a finger popper for years. Also a neck, elbow, back, knee, and toe popper as well. I used to worry that this wasn't good for me, but some years ago I read a medical journal about it and learned that it does not cause enlargement of our knuckles or anything else untoward. Since that day of reading that, I have been merrily popping away!
