I just got a call to confirm my appointment tomorrow. I know not many would be excited about an eye appointment. Many may know Im almost legally blind, and I have a lot pf problems with my sight and eyes. Ive been waiting as OHIP pays for 1 exam each year. Ive been having this really horrible pain in my eye (my good eye - which is never good). Also, I may need a new prescription lenses fas reading is getting hardier and hardier, also night driving. I know he cant permanently fix it but he can give me some help, and exercise like last year. I need new glasses as my frames are breaking and if I need new lenses I will get new frames as well.

For you yes after you turn 18 they suggest going every 2 years, and it costs I think $85 or $95 for the exam. But OHIP covers me for an exam ever year for the rest of my life. I have retina detachment disease, and I need to be closly monitored. Any time my retna can detach and I wont be able to see. I am blind in one eye, and very poor sight in the other. So my doctor has deemed in requirement to be seen. You have floaters I have that as well, they are like black lines, and dots. Sometimes they are like if you get apicture taken, those lights flashing in your eyes I get as well. They actually are pieces of your eye floating around, and this is very common.

It's really annoying and grippy when I'm talking to someone and this black dot flys across their face I keep thinking it's a bug which then makes me not just look weird for looking at some dot that's not there but completely nuts for seating at a bug that's not there lol

I thought that for years, and whenever I told people they would think I was nuts. As I got older many would get the same thing many seniors have it as well. Im so use to it as Ive had it my entire life. But I remember once I was bored as a kid, and was fling this black line, and dot around in my eye thought it was cool. MY teacher was yelling at me for fooling around, and when I explained she sent me to the office, and sent home for it (they thought there was something wrong with me upstairs). Try just glancing around (some may think your rude) but my friends always laugh and say yuor flinging your iimaginary specks around again.

I hope you get whatever you need done tomorrow. I've been needing new glasses for at least 3 years but I can't afford them. My glasses run over $400.
