Would love to work from home

I recently graduated from college and am looking for employment. However, once I get hired I will be on call. I don't want to work a part time job because when I get hired I would have to give up those shifts to go work at my real job. I'm looking for a job to do from home that will earn me enough to pay my bills. I'd like to work from home preferably because that way I can continue working while I am on call and work my hours around my real job. I was considering selling avon but have been told that the market is flooded with avon reps. So I was wondering what else was out there. Do any of you work from home? What do you do? Any advice for me?

i work from home, vulgar, but of course i am an artist. my husband is a writer, so he is home too, fortunately, we get along very very well. i once tried to sell avon, and i hated it! i thought i might like it because my granny was an avon lady when i was growing up and she loved it! and i liked to play with all her lipstick and perfume samples. but being an avon lady in real life was torture. people don't always pay your for their orders and then you have to pay for it...you have to really be tough and driven to make any money at all in that kind of job. and i admit, i am just not either. good luck to you though. and congrats for finishing college, are you going to be working in the medical field?

I sold avon when I was 14-18 and never had any non payment issues, if I did I just returned the items. It's one of the reasons I'm thinking about getting back to it, I already have experience in it. Yes, I'll be working in the medical field but I also graduated from college with a certificate in textile art. The only thing with that is supplies are so expensive, I easily spent 2000$ so far without having sold anything. I guess I'm not driven enough to be an artist.

I wish I had done more with fine art. I love textile art but fine art tends to be more appreciated in society. People would pay 2000$ for a painting but probably not 2000$ for a quilt.

I am not sure if this is something you would want to do but I work from home. I am a webcam model. It's not for everyone but for me it takes care of us, I work from home at night when my kids are sleeping and get to stay home with them during the day. =) It is just perfect being able to work on my own schedule.

I've thought of that, but I'm not sure how comfortable I would be showing my face! I hear it pays really well though.

well, you never know vulgar, if it pays good money, there may well be ways in which one could disguise one'self as a successful webcam model...perhaps you could wear masks or costumes of some sort, or only display certain areas or parts of yourself, this may be attractive to some sorts of people...

You can start making money online with lot's of online sites. You need to find something that suits you and makes you feel comfortable. Whether you want to invest money to get started or not is up to you ;) I, for example, am currently working with 3 different online business where I have to put money in to get more money out ;) Happy searching ;)

Sadly I don't have any money to put in, I used my playstation savings to pay my bills this month. I don't necessarily want to earn hundreds of dollars, just enought o pay my bills :)

There are so many home-based jobs that you can do. Just browse the internet and look out for home-based or online jobs. You can find ample number of jobs but be sure they are genuine works, not scam.

renzonation: you mustn't have read my post about why I'm looking for a job form home so I'll write it again. I just graduated college and when I get hired I will be on call. My real job will pay 12$ an hour MORE than a crappy job so if I get called in I would ditch the shift at the crappy job which would probably result in my getting fired. Working from home would allow me to continue to work a second job in case I don't get called in very often. I'm not looking for something that pays pennies, just something I can do from home and still pay my bills.

Working from home has it's advantages and disadvantages, but being your own Boss and being able to set your own hrs. is really where it is at. I know myself that is my Goal and dream job to have my Own Business. I do have a Business license, but most of the time do things on the side like to friends, or in shows. I have Sold Avon before. You can now do it in so many ways, and depending on the time and money you have to invest in it, it can become quite successful. I know people who have done really well with it, but a lot of times it really depends on who you know and how you market it. Wishing you the Best if you decide to try it.
