I would probably steal if I was very hungry. Who knows? But I would not kill. And I would not resort to crime for greed. Corruption is more about greed than about hunger. Rich people are worse than small thiefs.

I totally agree with you even I support people dying of hunger to steal but yes not to kill anyone ..... In India we have massive/shocking corruption levels both in Indian governmnet ,private sector as well as public ......that in India almost most things and person are on sale ........but the main responsibility is of present Indian government who is suppose to ensure corruption less India ......... I hope that people struggling to change the Indian political system will win and we will have corruption free India.......... Hare Krishna Ganesh

Not only in India, but everywhere, money has become the most coveted item for many people. Inner growth is less important than a big house and a good car. Authorities don`t give a better example. Even here, I see there are members who think that money means everything.

Worst comes to worst maybe i would beg for food and if no body give me food, they have not to blame but i will steal food from those who are not worth to have millions because if greedeness. But i know for sure there's a lot alternative things to prevent stealing. I will go to the mountains and pick some root crops for eating.

Even I dont recommend stealing but once the human being is dying and no option are left to earn than yes stealing can give one chance to live again........ Hare Krishna Ganesh

And yes if some rich people don't agree with me I want to say that most rich people earn money via unfair means so what is that nothing else but equivalent to stealing ........ Hare Krishna Ganesh

Yes, you are very correct and you have given here the reason also. The criminals are generated either for money or if money is not the reason then the main reason is ego, which is always the main matter for the peoples.

When one is jobless, broke and desperate for money, I think one may resort to rob. Food is a need to survive. Or we live to eat! I was told that I may get a pay cut of 20% effective this month. Currently I am trying to make ends meet .. I am doubtly what will happen next .. rob, beg or a 2nd job.

This is a real question but I think the morality of the person has a lot to do with it too I have been on a very strict diet---because there aren't too many groceries in my house because of circumstances but I'd never steal from another person I just couldn't conceive such a thing and there are lots of folks in more difficult situations than mine that wouldn't either

Yes I appreciate your support for moral values ...... Due to miss governance in India these days I m witnessing well educated youth joining criminal groups and later getting caught ..... But more painful is to witness in some parts of India people are compelled to die out of hunger especially in states like Orissaa.... I hope the old and corrupt political system in India will change and lives of many dying of hunger would be saved ........ Hare Krishna Ganesh

The end does not justify the means - and this is always what i have thought. I think when it comes to one sticking up to their values and remaming true as to who they are - they should not let hunger or anything else destroy their name. As my brother always say... when you have nothing and you only have your name - you should protect and keep your name clean and not corrupted. Name goes on to the people and you will pass on your name to your children and their childrena and if that is tainted, people will always know... i believe that one's hunger can always be solved. like money they say is the easiest of problems to be solved, right?

I agree name is important but deadliest criminal of world in my view are born either of hunger or shortage of money ..... Money used to be the easiest problem in past but due to highly corrupt political, public and private sector system here in India ,making money is not as easy ,due to over population only few get work rest of youth of India is forced to follow the roads irrespective of where they lead them too ....... I would choose hunger because I know God will supply all my needs; so I might be hungry now, but I know it will not last. Why commit an unnecessary crime?

That happen because people don't know that money is not real. Yes, money is not real. It is only an idea. And most people, with their lazy minds, forget to think of ideas, I mean good ideas that are equivalent to money.

Ganesh: answer to your point is YES. This does not mean I support resorting to crime. My answer now is hunger-- but what I may do in real hunger can be seen only when I am in real hunger. criminals are made. society makes people good and bad.

For some, but I know there are still many who will still do the right thing given in that situation. The truth is those who already have plenty of money are still the one who steal and worst they get from the people that they supposed to serve. If I will be on that situation, I'll choose to starve rather than make something bad.

If I'm close to dying of starvation but I have no money, I would steal of course. But luckily I have money to survive. Yes, quite a few turn to crime because of the lack of money. Besides it will take a long time to find work and even if you did find work, you won't have the money immediately.
