I was watching this show on the Food Network. Its a cafe in Tokeyo (sp?), they ahve 2 cafes dogs, and cats. You can take your pets into the cafe, they serve both you and your pets. They ahve a play area, and you can play with them, also make treats that both you and your pets can share. They look delicious, and this is something I thought was very interesting. I would certainly take all my brats to one of these for an outting.

I think in the future bringing your pets out, and in stores will be accepted. Right now it isnt and its sad. I do bring my cats for walks, but they cant go shopping. I buy them items, and you arnt sure it would fit.

The reason that animals are not allowed in eating establishments is purely for health and hygienic reasons. HOWEVER, having said that, it is different and I'm sure that lots of pet lovers wouldn't mind eating in the same place that serves animals. In fact, when I was in Germany years ago, I was absolutely AMAZED at the number of people who bought their dogs (I personally didn't see any cats) into the restaurants with them. It was something I had never seen before but was quite common there. They weren't special restaurants or anything, the dogs were on leashes and just sat quietly at their owners feet or beside their chair while the owners ate. It didn't bother me one bit to see this, I didn't feel that it was dirty and quite frankly didn't see any hair about the place. In fact, I thought it was pretty awesome that they allowed it.
