For my Moms birthday yesterday they had chinese food for supper. I was at work until late so I got the leftovers. I cant beleieve the number of people who wouldnt reheat food including chinese food. I just think its a waste if you dont reheat it, and you might as well throw your money in the trash can. I had a few chicken balls, egg roll, rice with chicken, and a few veggie mix dishes. I thought it was very delicious and a big change to the usual meals.

Yeah one doesn't let good Chinese go to food go to waste. Surly not in my house, we though we rarely get take out we usually go to the buffet for our fix. Though usually the take outs are usually better though more costly.

We dont have any buffets around here, but we would die if we threw chinese food out. We will eat it for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner for days after just to eat it up. But I know a handful of people who would just throw it out.

Hello Ricki, I am a big leftover eater my sisters whom I am living with would refuse eating the same thing they had the previous meal, and I find it wasteful to discard leftovers. I am aware that food should be kept for a certain period of time only that is why I make it a point to reheat leftover immediately and eat it right away.

I bring leftovers from resturants to work with me all the time. Today for lunch i had cheese raviolies from Olive Garden and they were so yummy even though i had them Sunday night for dinner for my dads birthday LOL. I will have leftovers tommorrow now too because im going out to dinner for my Boyfriends Mom tonight lol. So i like my leftovers they are yummy and IDK why people wouldnt eat them at all. We use leftovers at home all the time. If there is leftover steak or chicken usually the next night we will have fajitas and use the leftover meat for that because i dont want to waste the food. Also if there is still meat leftover i will actually make a dinner of dog food for the dog with it because he will at least eat it to lol.

Yeah, I reheat Chinese food. I usually add vegetable fried rice to eggs the next day for breakfast or dinner. I just never eat the leftover white rice as I can never get this back to it's soft state. I just dump that on the pavement for the birds with some hot water over it. They love it.I used to work at a pizza place and people used to annoy me with leftover pizza as I doubt much got eaten the next day. Many times they would forget the box on the table and of course they would insist on taking home the bread sticks which after a few seconds turn hard as a rock even when reheated. You just know these went right into the garbage the next day. They would have been been better off taking those bread sticks in a napkin and throwing them out into the parking lot or their yards for the birds like I do. Especially the leftover bread from the olive garden. I hate to waste it.

Leftover food makes up a lot of my meals.. hehe. So convenient and can even be very delicious depending on what it is.

Of course I would warm it over, and enjoy every bite of it. No point in throwing away good food. I will warm almost anything over to eat. Some things you have to be careful with to keep the good quality.

The trouble with Chinese, that if it is a shrimp or prawn dish it does not last more then a couple of days unless you put it in separate containers and freeze it and once it is thawed eat it at once. I do not think you have much to worry about since you did eat them not long after your mom and the rest of the family did. I have kept Chinese food for a couple of days, but sure wish I knew a way to keep them longer so I would not eat the same o same o.

When I looked at the title of your discussion it made me think of another you had made. Hadn't you mentioned once before, how chinese food made your whole family sick? I will reheat Chinese food but there are somethings that I don't care to reheat. I won't reheat certain pizzas, in fact lately it's been any kind of pizza. I know of one pizza place where I don't even HAVE to reheat it, it's still just that much more delicious without it. My brother in law and sister used to live up there, but my brother in law still works near the restaurant that the pizza is from. Anyway, I also won't reheat mashed potatoes as they are nasty after.

It depends on what it is for me and left overs. Some things are really good reheated and others are not and it always depends on from where it from meaning where you got it at. I love Chinese food so I do know what i like out of that reheated and not.

It is fine to reheat as long as it's the next day,. After that and I have heard the rice will become spoiled and make some people sick. So after a day don't reheat. I love it but I am picky on the few dishes I will eat, nothing tooooo Chinese. Dunno know if that makes sense, but there are Chinese dishes that doesn't seem overly Chinese, in a way.
