Has anyone had any success getting their account activated with Gomez Peer? I've got the program running, and its earning, not a lot, but every little bit helps. Just wondered if anyone knows how long it takes for your account to go from pending to active. Thanks!

Gomez Peer, I just installed in my systems 48 hours ago, my account is also reading pending. Though, I have been credited $0.02 ,it is too small. I wonder how it is calculated. I want to know more about it and see how increase my earning rate.

The way that your earnings are calculated is fully described here: http://www.gomezpeerzone.com/current-payment-rates/ The program only pays for the number of minutes it uses (Processing Time), not for the total time available (Online Time). The earnings shown while your account is Pending are not real earnings. They are just shown for information. The longer your computer is on and connected to the Internet but idle, the more chance you have that your account will be activated - and the more you will earn when it is.

@Owlwings: For your kind info, the members are paid for their online time also. If the online time is 1200 minutes in that particular day(within the 24 hours from the start of the server time) we will be paid at least 8 cents for that day and it varies from country to country it seems. But reaching 1200 online minutes in a day is possible only if we run the software at least in two computers.

I am afraid for this kind of program online. I am not sure if they will spy on my computer and get my files or account information.

GomezPeer is a legitimate program and emphatically does NOT compromise your security, but it's your choice.

I am scared it may harm my system and not eventually pay. Though is very meager. Don't you think so?

GomezPeer choose who they activate based on the operating system and spped of your computer, the type of Internet connection you have and the amount of time which your computer is online and ready for processing. Before your account is activated, it is best to leave it on and connected to the Internet for as long as possible, so that they can run tests on your machine. Activation may take anywhere from a few days to a month or more. It just depends whether they need machines with your particular configuration at that time and there is no way of knowing apart from keeping the program running so that it is available for as long as possible during a day. I tried running the program several years ago and it still hadn't activated after about six weeks so I gave up. When I tried again a year ago, I was activated after three or four days and have been receiving monthly payments ever since.

Thanks, yeah my computer is always connected to my wireless. So far I've earned $1.00 but still not activated. I live in a pretty rural area, and the dsl here is slow, but I'm going to stay with it, for a while anyways
