Is there an increase of Mylot inactive members?

I don't know if it's just me but I have noticed in the past few months, the discussions created are getting lesser and lesser. Where did all mylotters go? I personally became very busy lately because of the new position I'm responsible of at work, but it's still a awesome experience everytime I visit mylot.

I also have an 18-month old toddler. She's eating much of my time lately, but it's super worth it. I'll drop everything for her.

I've been inactive for the past how many years. The other day, I suddenly received notifications from Mylot. All of a sudden I felt excited. I've always enjoyed reading and participant in discussions here.

I have noticed that too. I believe the inactivity of some members is due to the lack of time they may have to devote to mylot. I know for me it takes a lot of time to make it worth while. I do have a financial goal to achieve, and honestly, it takes a lot of work. Also, I do not think the mylot community is largely populated by native English speakers. Sometimes I wonder if what I am saying is getting through. Some people cannot be bothered by the time consuming effort being a mylotter involves I guess. In other words, people don't always find it beneficial to participate in.

I hope Mylot can think of creative ideas to revive the interest of mylot members once again. I think the fact that mylot is multicultural because of its members, we should have more topics to talk about. I, on the other hand, would like to agree that probably tenured members are getting busy in other websites where they earn a lot more.

I still see, there are many active members of myLot. I found a lot of discussion made ??by some members of myLot. And my discussion also responded, by some members of myLot. I am also very busy, with my housework. But, every time, I took time to log on MyLot.

I will try to be more active again here. The problem with me is I'm not very consistent. I can still remember in the past when I post an discussion, a few minutes later there are a lot of people replying on my topic.

I have been here for about a month and i must say that the discussions are often limited. For a popular and well known site like this, the number of discussions being created is too little and newcomers will find it hard to continue because of boredom.

I agree with you on that. If we don't create interesting discussions, boredom will prevail. I hope Mylot can think creative ideas to revive the interest of its members. People are already here- that's a good start. Retention is key.

I have just joined so I hope I won't be inactive in the near future or sometime soon! I think the only reason I would probably become inactive is when my internet is down or if I am too busy to even check the email, otherwise I will be active as I have so many social media crap to show my face too.

I think alot of people are leaving mylot because they realized they have to work hard to make payout! At least with some of the newbies! Some of the older members are leaving because they are busy in their lives or have gottan bored with Mylot. I have been here a few years and I am not going anywhere!

I've been away for quite some time dealing with family stuff that kept me crazy busy and lots of overtime in my day job. It is nice to be back though and see some fun new discussions and old friends. :)

I have seen this too. Like every time I have tons of time and I try to be super active it is hard to find a discussion I really want to reply to. Some, but not as many as before. I think people are just really busy lately, or that's how it seems to me anyway...Maybe it is the warmer weather for some, they are getting out more and not sitting home on the computer as much. I know soon I will be out and about with my family to the beach and things like that... I will always find time to be here and never stop coming though because I love it here! =)I hope it starts picking up again.

Hello ip5217. I don't really notice members leaving. What I assume is that they just change their profile names. I mean, maybe they cancel their account and create a new one. To be a totally whole new person again! I have noticed though that when I first started here, the friends I had before are not on my list anymore. I just hope they are still out there with a new name and I hope to bump into them one of these days! Let us keep mylot active and alive! Those who are good with creating discussions, I hope they'll continue to create interesting topics!

Could be, I've been busy with other things but try to manage to come in. I can't think of any discussions half the time to start and don't want to seem like a complainer all the time if I have a problem so I just mostly answer what I can and move on. I just put up 5 auctions for my dad and am so tired now, I wasn't feeling very good to begin with. But I do what I can.

I find it tends to go in waves. Some days there are so many discussions that interest me I can hardly keep up, yet other days there seems to be nothing much that I want to respond to. On those days I try to start a discussion of my own. I find that my own participation also comes and goes in waves. It is directly related to how much time I have to spend on here, what I'm doing and how much I'm working. I just come to mylot for the fun of it when I have some time to spare. I don't have a mylot schedule or try to post x number of times a day like some people do. It's just whenever the mood strikes me.

I'm a new member to mylot and i'm very interested to participate daily in mylot. I found mylot is a legit online website in many blogs and websites.

It is nearly the same case with me. I lost my old account with Mylot since I was busy with my studies, but here I am, back again, and I can't really make the difference between the amount of discussions of nowadays and the one of six or seven months ago. Anyway, I think if there is any kind of decreasement, it would be because people are getting busier with life. Have a nice day.

You are so right there my friend. I for one got promoted at work so I became more busy. I would sometimes stay 2-3 hours more after work to finish my tasks. (sigh)

Just for the record, the busiest Lotter has not left. She has computer problems and cannot be here until it is either fixed or she has a new one. I don't find myLot to be slow and if there are fewer new topics for discussion then it could be that more and more users, instead of starting new ones, are spending time to comment back to those who respond on the ones that they start. After all, that is what makes a discussion and it seems that many have only just realised and that there are many more Lotters who are now commenting, furthering the topic and getting some great discussions moving forward

The nice weather seems to ensure that a lot of people are taking a break for myLot. Some of them might return after a fashion while others might not find their way back. It does seem to happen like this pretty much every single year during the spring and summer months, with the activity picking back up around August and September of each year. So yeah, this drought of people does seem to be just business as usual where people are dialing a lot of things back for the summer. I'm sure they will start coming creeping back before too long. That is just how things tend to work during these months, more and more people taking the time off and taking some time away. Sometimes they need that after all.

I have been with mylot about a year and a half and I come to the site more than once a day. I am not aware of the discussions getting less but I am aware of the number of veteran members who are no longer on mylot. There were many persons on mylot who were very active and had been for some time by the number of posts. Many, if not most, are gone. I do not know why. I am very aware that there were a lot of mylotters who were very active the first year that i was on mylot and are now gone. They responded to my discussions and vice versa. Something has happened, but what?

May be there is. Yeah, because I think it really gets boring after sometime. You don't have anything to discuss after a week or so. A newbie will surely suspend its activities for a little while looking for a better online option. But ultimately he ends up here. Initially I also stopped discussing in between for a month or two. But now I have made it a habit to at least spend half an hour on mylot daily. And I have earned 7 cents in two days.

yes I've been inactive for quite a while. but there are still many mylotters that are active and are just waiting for someone to start an interesting discussion for them to reply. Actually it's hard to think of a new discussion than to comment on a certain discussion.

I have also noticed that. Before, I received tones of new topic notifications but now I can only have few. I guess, everybody is very nowadays especially those mylotters who are still studying. One of the not so good about mylot is that takes time to load the page. I hope this is not of the reasons why they are leaving. I find mylot a slow site. I hope the admin will do something about it.
