Local Electric Crew's Midnight Maintenance

Hello Lotters, What a Night, it's unbelievable that Meralco had to this surprisingly or wasn't I aware of their maintenance schedule? Last night I heard a generator sound from the outside. i didn't bother myself with it because i hear stuff like that all the time, until that night. after that, the lights went down and my mom woke up. I decided to check things out side and ask the electrician. they said it's just maintenance and was transferring some parts.took hours and that kept me up all night sleeping late. The same thing came this night, but the difference is that they were actually putting a line switch as part of that maintenance. luckily, they didn't turn of the electricity.

That's very annoying, it also happened here a couple of weeks back but in the afternoon ( when it was so hot) and I think it lasted from 6 to eight hours, some of my friends said that it was announced in the gate of the subdivision and was also announced in our sports complex but we never got wind of it. On the other hand I think people are just doing their job and I had to comfort myself with the thought that at least they are doing something ( better than nothing)

Hello Louievill, Well, compare to you the first night lasted an hour only since it was really a maintenance. they are doing something in our neighborhood, just to prevent other houses from loosing power while they make repairs and that's why they put that switch. it's hard when the brown out is more than 5 hours. Have a nice day

dear LK, Haven't heard of this I mean, haven't experience like this. But some road constructions here in metro city's usually done at night time to avoid traffic and also to give way to commuters. Well- at least they are doing their job huh.

Hello Jaiho-sis, at least it was worth the pay of 100 dollars almost every single month they billed us. with so many rises in their rates, i just don't want to complain about a single maintenance here.well, the road near our house is already a highway so i think they did the right thing but at the same time we were interrupted.

I would still consider your place lucky. Living here in Zamboanga, we have had to bare with at least 2 hours blackout a day and at most 12 hours. Now, imagine that. Fortunately, the situation ceased last month but is probably back again this month because we have been experiencing the same inconvenience this passed few days.

Hello Choybel, It's probably because of some maintenance, besides using renewable energy can't fit on every one there but you get to have connection.I hope the problem with the electricity there resolves because it's annoying to have pwer problems. Have a nice day.
