in online earning we can increase our earning by getting referrals and it is passive income and we do not need to take much efforts after that, sometime we need to encourage them if they do not be active on the site. on Mylot we have http://www.mylot.com/?ref=USERNAME referral link which we can promote and get referral from it. we can also append ?ref=USERNAME to the end of any URL on myLot and create a custom referral link. but my question is do we need to add username to profile page to get referrals, because our profile page already has our username.. in my case it is www.mylot.com/GajaGamini then do I need to add that ?ref=Myusername to the profile page link?

Yes we have to add that ?ref=username to make any mylot pages as our custom referral link. same goes with profile pages. without the referrals link its just our profile page but with it. It becomes our referral link

thanks, I got confuse because our profile page already have our user name I think ?ref= is only change we can see in the referral link and profile page URL/link. and yes, it is clearly mentioned in referral section that we can customize referral links and we can convert any URL/link in our referral link by putting ?ref=USERNAME in from of the any Mylot URL.

Adding the "?ref=username" string to a MyLot link will automatically set a cookie on the computer of anyone who uses that link and then signs up to MyLot. That cookie ensures that, when they sign up, they become your referral. If they just view your profile (without the referral string added to the URL), the cookie will not be set and they won't become your referral. It can also happen, of course, that if their browser is set not to accept cookies, then they can sign up using your referral link and still not become your referral. There isn't much you can do about this, unfortunately, because once someone has joined, they can't be added as a referral. (I know that it would be theoretically possible because it is just a matter of changing a field in the database but I don't believe that MyLot would agree to do this routinely and it would need specific written requests from both parties).

I see that your doubt has been answered but I just wanted to congratulate you on realisng that we can take advantage of our myLot profile and use it to promote our sites on other sites too. Instead of creating a blog, using our profile keeps everything in one place

We have discussed the advantages of promoting our Mylot profile before. And I think you are the best example in front of us. Yes, my doubts are clear now, I got confuse because of the username in both the links. I am making changes and trying to add new things on my profile. I hope, soon I will have learned the tact of Html coding and other things to make my profile interesting and I can put things which I want to promote.
