Facebook use can be as bad as smoking and drinking

I was surprised that a lot of people would rather skip their smoking and drinking so as they can spend more time in using Facebook. Although I think it's good that they have found an alternative to drinking and smoking, the downside according to health experts is that we are making our own movie like reality of our selves and most specially we don't enjoy getting out more and have real relationship with people. But I'm not addicted to Facebook at all.

Well, it's not just facebook. Using the internet for a long time can be a huge risk to ones self especially to your eyes. It is true that facebook is really addictive that's why more people use the internet all the time. The only reason why people got sick from being online for a long time is because maybe they already forgot to eat on time because they use facebook too much. In my case, I'm also not addicted to facebook and I am just online for maximum of 2 hours.

Hi hotsummer, It really is hot here in summer. Anyways. That is definitely better than smoking and drinking but that isn't quite the stable alternative to those habits, as we know facebook is in itself a sort of addiction and it can affect our personal and social lives just as smoking and drinking affecys our health life. We need to rid ourselves of all our addictions, i used to smoke and drink but i have left them all by God's grace and i also used to play a lot of computer games and all but i have left them behind and i don't let those control me but I am now in control of those things, i play whenever I like to play. We have to do our jobs first and rest everything comes after that, it could be a way to pass time or to enjoy with our friends but we really need to first concentrate on our primary purposes.

Well given how many relationships Facebook have destroyed, I think you may have a point a lot of the time. Then again, it is really not the fact that Facebook is the problem per say. Rather it is the fact that everyone who is on it, really does take the entire thing just a bit too seriously. That is the problem. It is something that should be a diversion every so often. Then again, everyone says you have to be on Facebook and obviously that is the image that Facebook has cultivated. In some ways, it is just the different spin of "you have to try this" or you have to try that for some vices that are not the best for you. In the end, while Facebook cannot kill you, those who use it do bring a lot of the bad things that it comes with on themselves.

People today may not have their own house or car,but what they boast that they truly own is a Facebook account.Smoking and drinking affect a person's health but i don't think Facebook jeopardize anyone to the extend that smoking and drinking takes one to.But what is common to both these is its addictive nature.I too have a Facebook account even then i don't chat with my neighbor through it, as i rather enjoy talking to them face to face in open air.I firmly believe that relations should be direct than through a veil.If Facebook has not been launched it would have been a much direct world, for that reason i think bars are better place than internet as they provide a platform for people to meet and communicate, make no mistake,i really oppose the drunkards.
