Have you ever shaved or cut off your hair after an end of a relationship? I have! I didn't shave it up but I cut it really short. I felt better after I did too. It felt like a brand new start. When a relationship ends for you, do you tend to change something very drastic about yourself, whether it's your hair, your house, wardrobe, etc? Do you burn all your ex's things or throw them out? Why or why not?

I think when a relationship ends that we had been in for a long time, it makes sense that we should want to change something about ourself. When I split up with my partner, I lost six stone in weight and dyed my hair, and am now a completely different person as a result of that. I am back together with him now, and I think that we both just needed some time to stop and think about the things that had gone wrong, and try to get to the people who we were before. We have never been happier, and I hope that we're going to be together for a long time.

Unfortunately.. not all relationships ends up in a happy ending like you guys have. Me and my ex girlfriend was together for 5 years. When we broke up,we changed a lot. You were right, we just needed to stop and think about the things that had gone wrong. Unfortunately I got another girl pregnant.. When I did realize that I do love my ex so much. It was too late. Sad story.

It is true that an end of a relationship is an end of a certain lifestyle and can affect ourselves a lot.

When I was dating and went through a breakup I would cut and dye my hair. It made you feel like new you, new beginning. Then I would go through all the notes he wrote me and burn them and cut up all of the pictures! lol It made me feel so much better. Now luckily I have been with my hubby for 12 yrs and found my soul mate.

It is said that the best way to get rid of the past is change. Change the old you maybe, yes, the hairstyle, the house, repaint if needed and move the furniture as well. I have been there once and one thing that changes in me, I hang out with friend more often than the usual. Going out with friends helps me a lot and now I can tell I am indeed a new person from who I am.

For me, it is good to bury things that reminds me of him especially if he caused me much pain. At least, if i don't see those things often I can easily forget him.

For me too, it's not easy to forget them but it helps a bit if we aren't reminded.

Being attached to someone, it is really difficult to say good bye. Even for just a temporary situation, the manner of saying, makes us hard to do it. It shows how so close the people interact with, building a strong bond of friendship.
