We the people living in Kerala eat rice and curry as lunch. Eating rice is very common here. Each of the restaurant here in Kerala you can find them. Rice will be very tasty to eat when we have nice curies to eat and I love eating them with good curries.

I am an Asian and I do not eat rice for months together. Actually eating habits depend upon availability of foods in a particular area. In our country there are some areas who cannot survive without rice where as some other areas depend totally on wheat. But we eat mixed in every state in our country although, some of the people do not eat either despite being available. I prefer wheat and its allied products.

Hi, yes Americans eat rice. All kinds. You can get any kind you want in the supermarket even yellow and with saffron, I like both and it's in Chinese food here, fried and plain and Mexican food like in a Mexican dish in a Mexican restaurant. Not all eat bread in the morning. Some are allergic to it. Like me, I cannot eat yeast so I eat sometimes a soda bread made from baking soda or spelt made from wheat no yeast. Americans eat all kinds of things for breakfast. Pancakes, eggs, waffles, crepes, fried potatoes, oatmeal...lots of different things. It is bad in excess so I try to eat rice only once in a while as it is a carbohydrate which turns into your body to sugar. If you want to lose weight stay away from carbohydrates and meats and add more eggs, dairy, vegetables, nuts and fruit for snacks to your diet.
