This has happened to me on more than one occation. THis feeling that feels soo real and lifelike that it makes me wounder "did it really happen"? Im sleeping and in that deep sleep im dreaming of me running. I don't know what im running from or who im running to, all i know is that im running and it's dark. Then all of a sudden, I am falling. Falling down this long, very long well and it is endless. Just when i think i can scream another scream, i land on my back, so hard that it takes my breath away and when i come to, i see myself on the ground and i start to wounder how did i get here..am i dead?! And then somehow i can see myself going back into my own body and i start to breathe...and then i awake from my dream.....and i feel weird. Kinda like im still out of my body...but not out of my body..... and then when i try to recall my dream, all i end up with is a brick wall. EMPTYNESS. what does that mean?? have u ever had a dream where u are running from someone but everytime u look back to see this person-u can't seem to see the face, just darkness? I dont know what this means but my sister claims shes an expert (ha! yeah right!!) she says that if u cant see who ur running from then that means i need to take a good look at myself and see what's missing...that was long ago but i still have dreams like this. I even dream of snake attaching me sometimes. i read in a book about dreams that if the snake bites u, its not good. i forgot what it said.... happy mylotting friends

It´s always worth been cautious who you are hanging out with, even in dreams. I can tell you have had some pretty disturbing dreams, so much so that I would qualify them as real nightmares. If I were your father I would actually tell you to watch what you have been eating before going to bed since people say that you should eat more healthy and light stuff before going to bed. A friend´s advice!:)

Personally, I don't take dream interpretation seriously. I don't believe that dreams have symbolic/subconscious "meanings", I tend to follow the theory that dreams are the result of random nerve firings in the brain while we sleep. And here's the thing about dream "experts", they don't really exist! I've read loads about dreams and I've discovered some very interesting things, the first thing being the only things we know for certain are just technical things like in which cycle of sleep they tend to happen. The second thing, everything else we hear about the purpose/meaning/natue of dreams is really just working theory. I've had extremely vivid dreams before. It still shocks me just how vivid dreams can become. I've felt the wind rushing against my body and blowing through my hair, sand between my toes, the temperature of the air shift from stuff and heated to chilled and open, the blood rushing to my head when I hang upside down, the stabbing pain of a needle in my arm, the list goes on! I've also had downright fuzzy and dingy dreams. It just depends on the day of the week and maybe what medication I'm on at the moment! I've never had a dream where I was running from something that seemed only to be darkness personally. Whatever is chasing me always has an identity. I remember one dream from when I was younger where the vice principle of my elementary school was hobbling after me with a cane and yet she seemed faster than I was.

I have always had dreams like that. The ones where you stop to ask Um... Did that happen or did I dream it? When I was very young five or six. I had a dream I was making a cake from scratch with my grandmother, which at the time wasn't an odd dream, because I usually helped her make a cake at least every weekend. Well, in the dream she told me that we had to crumple a little bit of egg shell and put it in the batter for texture. The next day was cake baking day, and I had to actually ask my Grandma if she had really told me that or if I had dreamed it. She laughed, but told me she had dreams like that some times too. I think those type of dreams happen to most people every now and then, because even my room mate who is against thinking dreams mean anything, once asked me out of the blue "Do you have a beaded amethyst bracelet with tiny little beads?" This was a weird question coming from her because she doesn't like me to talk about the properties and qualities of crystals or gems. I told her I would have to check, because I had one she could borrow, even though I didn't say it out loud, I couldn't imagine what she'd want to wear it with or why she would want to wear something she didn't believe in the power of, and usually because of my beliefs avoids wearing. (I have weird room mates). But then she was like "No, No. Do you have an amethyst bracelet with tiny beads that broke and scattered all over the floor?" I was like "Um, no. Maybe that was Luna's." And then she finally broke down and told me that she had a dream that I had broke this amethyst bracelet, and the beads were so tiny and went everywhere, and she had to help me find them. And she couldn't figure out whether or not it was a dream. Usually dreams of running from anything are anxiety dreams. Dreams where you mind is letting you know it is stressed out. Sometimes I have dreams I'm running from something, sometimes I know what's chasing me, sometimes I don't know what is chasing me, when through out the day I feel trapped. So it may be that. I've always had nightmares about snakes. I think it's anxiety, I have a phobia of snakes, so I think it's my mind ways of telling me - you're stressed again.

Just because it feels real doesn't mean it is. I think it's funny people think that they know something about the unexplained. There is no way to be an expert of dreams. The real experts in the study, have no clue where they come from, so how can people think they know something about them, and what they mean, what a joke. Attention starved posers.
