I'd love to only spend that much in a month. I spend about ten so that isn't too bad a month but my phone is really basic no camera and it's not a smart phone either. I don't really use my phone other than emergency and occasional texting. But you must also consider your country versus others and their cost of living are much different. As typically most people I know pay $50-125 a month for plans for fancy plans that I don't have.

Sadly many people here in the US pay those sums every month for their cell phone service the more lines (family plans) and data and minutes one has the higher the cost. I have probably the cheapest plan around, Mine is actually $20 every 90 days or if I use up all my minutes before then I need to buy more minutes. Otherwise my hubby has the next cheapest which is just under $30 for a smart phone. But you know too many people have given up their land lines and only rely on their cell phone.

Ya,i understand..currently no one in my family use land lines anymore because cellphone is cheap, easy to buy in here. You and your husband already use the cheapest types, so that you guys can't save more from cellphone bill...

Oh, no, it depend on telecommunication network, not a cellphone. My cellphone have camera, connect to the internet, etc...however it is not smart phone or iphone at all. You can find the cheapest type of telecommunication network because you don't need to make many phone calls and texting, right? $50-125 a month for a cellphone is too much, if like that i won't use a cellphone more...

Wow!~ You only spend three doolars for your cellphone usage in a month, that's so cool! Is your mobile service provider having an annual Sales discount or promotional rebate lately or what?? That is great having to pay only $3 a month while at the same time get to use the cell phone. I personally have to pay twenty time of that amount you are paying, you are one hell of a lucky gal.

Huh? you pay twenty time of my an amount paying? it is too much. No, i use a normal phone in here with a prepaid type. I do send sms, make a phone call and chat on YM using internet also. I am happy with it because i can do all i want with cellphone and just pay a small amount only. You know there are 2 guys, they share that they just spend $1 for their cellphone a month. They are lucky guys...

Ya, there are many people just spend that amount on cellphone, not only me, i think. You know if i connect to YM directly, it costs so expensive when i do chat every night, but i use Ola chat (a soft for chatting on cellphone in here) and connect YM inside Ola chat, it is much more cheaper. One more, i use a prepaid type, when money in my cellphone is empty, i will reload money in it. In here i use only one cellphone but many guys use many phones at the same time and the telecommunication companies still get a big benefit every year.

That is a great deal. I spend $15 for 3 months of service and have for several years. I don't use my telephone a lot, but use it when I'm traveling and working. Its always great to save any amount of money.

That is good you only spent $3 for your cellphone, I could have saved a lot of money if only I dont use the mobile internet on my cellphone. I dont text or call a lot plus we have a lot of bonus free sms in a day, but what consume me more is the internet service. What application you are using to chat on your phone? I used to have ebuddy and nimbuzz to chat on phone, but I dont use it anymore.

I installed ola chat and use yahoo messenger in it. My sis told me about this soft because it is very expensive if i use directly yahoo messenger in my phone. I think it is Vietnamese soft because i didn't see it in English. I do chat every night (3 hours) but it does not cost much... i used to try to connect to mylot on my phone, the result is i spend much time for loading and internet fee is expensive. That's why i don't connect to internet on phone more, just do chatting using Yahoo messenger in Ola chat only...

Oh! In that case, I have spent 1$ on my cell for the last month. But I have to say, that was more than how much I usually spend on my cell. I am not happy with my expenses because, usually I do not like spending so much money on my cell for nothing. I look at it as a necessity than a luxury. Ofcourse, I manage keeping in touch with my friends through skype and gchat when I am online parallely working on mylot and the other sites that I am in! If you are glad about spending 3$ only, then it means that you used to spend even more. In that case, I am happy you are learning to cut down on your unnecessary expenses which can be saved for a necessary need of yours. Good luck with your savings, I hope you learn more.

You just spend $1 for your cellphone a month? really? if i spend $1 a month for my cellphone, i will be more happy....

You are totally right, we can keep contact with people by many free ways, and don't need to spend much money for cellphone. Ya, i want to reduce my phone bill to $1 a month only...I will be very happy when i can do like that..

Yes, i spend only $1 a month at the max. I do not like wasting so much money. Initially when I had my cell in my hand for those first days of cell in my life sort of days, i used to spend so much money like you only. But eventually I learnt that all these are waste of money and I ain't getting anything out of it. Other than that, when there are a lot of other alternatives through which we can be in touch with friends for free, why waste money unnecessarily. SO i reduced it. Don't worry, you will surely reduce it to $1 some day just like how I have reduced.

That is incredible! Not even the cheapest phone plan in the USA could do that with all you've done, sending texts and calls and even doing yahoo messenger! The cheapest is like $35.00 to do all that that I've seen and THAT'S AFTER making payments. Maybe it was a glitch, so I'd enjoy it while I could! lol!

Hi Ryan, it is good that you managed to spend less for your cellphone. As for me, these few months, i had been spending lesser and lesser money into my cellphone since i don't call much. Most of the time, i am only sending sms to my friends and family. When it is urgent, then i will call them using my land-line since it is much cheaper. Only when i am out from my home, then i will use my cellphone to call them. Cellphone charges for calling is not really cheap in my area here, so most of the time i am using for sms only.

I could relate to 5mahi05, I usually spend an average of $1 a month for loading my cellphone, but more often than not, it's lesser than that. There are a lot of promos that is being offered to me so I take my chances on complying with them so I get to spend a whole lot lesser on my cellphone. I'm not really into texting and calling anyway, and most of my friends are the one who approach (text/call) me, and I only use my load during important events. I don't use them on daily basis so I spend very little. ^^
