Never before has a sitting President had so much mystery surrounding his place of birth, where he grew up, and who his actual parents are. We all know that there are a group of people called 'birthers' who believe there is proof Obama was born in Kenya. We all know there are those who are in the process of discovering Obama was not truthful in his 'biography' about supposed indidents in his life. And the rumors and opinions about just who actually wrote his 'biography' abound. We are all aware that there are questions surrounding his Social Security number and his birth certificate, and his selective service papers. We are all aware his publisher listed him as born in Kenya, the AP listed him as born in Kenya, and now this: http://frontporchpolitics.com/2012/06/wait-what-obama-was-raised-in-singapore/ Now comes a source from Vanity Fair dated 1990 that states Barack Obama grew up in Singapore. Will it never end? Are we really going to reelect a man who has so much mystery surrounding his origins, his early life, and his documentation? Especially when he declared himself a socialist during his run of state senate? Especially after seeing the list of Constitutional abuses?

I will admit(though I don't vote but wife does), that we made a bad choice in selecting this guy. Then again, no president has been the man he is supposed to since they killed Kennedy. I am sure the hair turns white after innauguration for a reason...he is informed and shown the truth...what ever that is...but it is evil and corrupt and possesses the soul of each leader in turn.

I'm no Obama fan, but I disagree with these conspiracy theories. The only doubt is fabricated. We know where Obama was born, Hawaii. We know he moved to Indonesia with his mother and her new husband for a time and then came back to live with his grandparents in Hawaii. He's released his birth certificate, but it's not enough for these people, they're so consumed by their own agendas to objectively look at the truth.

Are you sure? Plenty of evidence otherwise. I won't bother you with all of it unless you ask. And just a little something to think about. Many things we now know to be fact, when discussed previous to the truth being revealed, were deemed as ONLY conspiracy theories. Don't take someone elses word until you investigate yourself just what the facts are.

I just want to address the birth announcements. The birth announcements in the paper were not placed by family but rather were published by the papers based on records sent to them regularly from the department of records. If you have looked at the listings of births, you would have seen that they are all the same in construction, very much a listing from a ledger sheet. At the time, the newspapers just printed what they received from the Dept of Health. In order to record a birth with the department of records, a close relative of the child (but not necessarily a mother) would go to the clerk and provide such information as date of birth, parents, name, etc. and this would result in a Certification of Live Birth (the form Obama has) and it is not necessary for anyone to prove anything other than the parents lived in Hawaii for a year prior to the birth of a child. One does not have to be born in Hawaii to get that form issued. So, it would not have been necessary for someone to plan all those years ago to pretend he was born in Hawaii in order for him to run for president. However, if your husband was a womanizer and a bigamist who had a wife and family already living in Kenya and might be deported there (he was eventually) and fearing he might try to take the child with him to that country, you might feel it was a good move to make sure your child was an American citizen and provided with the protections of citizenship. It isn't what we don't know or what we do know, it's what we've been lied to about. And although none of what I just said proves that one thing happened instead of another, at least I am willing to look at possibilities. Today, in America, when it comes to Obama, it is nearly considered a crime to look at the facts or question the lack of them. I admit it is perfectly possible he was born in Hawaii and all is well, if others would admit that because of the circumstances, it is possible he was not and all is not well.

The whole thing is and was, crazy.. So unknown and not properly vetted.. The Democrats threw Hilary right under the bus.. could've had the first woman president, but no matter what they say, no it's still a man.. I viewed a youtube video that superimposed images of our Pres. with Osama.. I don't believe it, but it was a little spooky as they did line up as to facial features! And actually, in this world of the twilight zone we've entered, nothing would surprise me!

And she and Bill allowed it to happen. Some feel they shut up because of a threat to Chelsea, I think they shut up because they have something to hide. You know the ol' if you tell on me, I'll tell on you? lol Her appointment as Sec. of State was surprising to the press, wasn't it? I realize that people do not want to believe there may be something bigger and badder out there running things. I don't either. But to stick your head in the sand and refuse to consider it as a possibility just so you can go on with life seems to me wrong. Very wrong. I don't believe everything I read about this issue, but I don't automatically dismiss it either. http://adask.wordpress.com/2012/04/07/clintons-were-the-original-birthers/

I don't really understand why there is such a big fuss about where he was born. What does it matter where he was born? That should have nothing to do with his ability to lead. Our Prime Minister here was not born in our country either. She was born in Wales, but no one seems to make a fuss over that. Maybe because she has plenty of other flaws that people can pick on her about? I do however understand the trust issues that people might have over any lies that may have been told though. If you are going to be a leader, then you need clarity and full disclosure of everything for people to follow you.

Our founding fathers put a clause in our Constitution that reads only a natural born citizen shall be eligible to be president. Seeing as they had just had a bloody revolution and fought the Brits for their liberty, they wanted to ensure no one who became president would have divided loyalties. I might add, from 2003 until 2008 when Obama was elected, there was a concerted effort by some in his party to amend the Constitution to allow those who were not 'natural born' to be elected. Since he's been in office, they've stopped their efforts.

Right. Mystery. It's not like a Hawaii newspaper published a birth announcement or anything like that, right?. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Obama_birth_announcement.jpg)

And it's not like the AP published a headline saying Obama's birthplace was KENYA. If we're going by newspapers, or publishing companies who say he was KENYAN born, I guess he was KENYAN born?
