Hi everyone, I am an avid reader and love to read. I just recently got a smartphone, and am able to download audible books to listen too. I was wondering if you have had any experience with online sites that you can get the audible books at a good price? I have checked into audible.com and a few others, just looking for more.... Thanks so much!

Hello grapeape35 Again, welcome to the myLot :) Again, I recommend the Amazon/Kindle site. They have applications that allow you to download to other devices besides a Kindle. They also have audible books available, and if you sign up at the right places like, "Pixel of Ink", "Ereader" and others, you may have access to free audible books. Peace.

You should be able to "check out" audio files through your library too. I've seen the option on my library's site when checking a book's availability, but I've never actually done it. I don't know why I haven't - it would make a lot of sense for me to do.

I have used audible for a while now. I love the concept that you can used it with iTunes. I often listen to a book while I do my house work and also when I am on long rides in the car or bus. Also, I will used them to fall asleep...like a child being read to my a mother.
