i spend quiet a lot of time on face book, i was enjoyable, i have a lot of friends, i get a lot of likes and comment but i realize form the other day it has been getting a bit annoying. i dont know most of the people in my friends list ans further more i dont talk to most of them. i am starting to think that my fb account has been a burden to me with all those notifications chain messages friend request etc. i am really considering to delete the account.

Sounds like a great idea, shansavy I, too, realized that I didn't really know most of the people on my account, so I deleted it entirely and started a new one. The new one has the people I actually know, but sometimes it is rather boring as I really don't know very many of the peoples.

i dont have a problem with meeting totally new people on it but the thing is most of them are just there i dont have any interactions with them. its like most people in my friend list are unnecessary.

yes thats what i am going to do. the only reason why it is still up is because i need to suggest my new page to some of my old friends and to take some of my pics.

Yes, that's how I felt about it, too. I enjoy meeting the new people, but then I never interacted with them. I have a few people on my new account who I kept from the old account. In fact, most of my friends with whom I interact on my account are from other countries. And, yes, you can delete the account permanently. I was told that if I returned to the account within 14 days that it would be reactived. But after that, it was gone.

Sorry but i dont believe you. Mark zuckerberg has said he will never make the deletion of accounts permanent.

Facebook Help makes it quite clear that you can delete your account permanently: http://www.facebook.com/help/account-settings-and-deletion
