See i am at the office right now and i just received an sms message from a colleague and it pissed me off big deal.
I really do not mind to receive complains or criticism when it comes to work, as long as it is said the right way with still the correct magical words like "please and thank you" but no this office mate of mine say words soooo abruptly, sooo rudely, do they even have manners? I really do not like the way she said it because it is sooo unprofessional. When i have complains i still try my best to use the right words, the right way and with uber manner but how come other people cannot?
oh well i am venting it out here as i do not want to meet her aggressively as i know it will end bad, i am lowering my pride and accept and see if her complaints regarding some printing stuff is right. oh well. some people.

You really need to stand your ground and not let people talk to you in such a way or they will continue to do so because you've allowed them to. I would never let anyone talk down to me or in a negative way. If they have a problem, I'll talk to them all day long but when they get nasty, I'll let them know that it's unacceptable and I won't sit there and take it from them however, if they want to talk, let's talk but don't talk down to me as if I'm some idiot. It's called respect!

I did not answer her back as i know our arguments will go on and on and on but i made a report about it and filed it and sent it to my manager, in that way she and my manager can talk about it.

Being the better person is really not an easy way of life. You show respect where it is due and even do your best to perform with humility and you don't get the same amount of respect, much worse is when you get abused for being to kind. Well, at least you know who is the better person, right? Not to be judgmental or anything like that, but it just shows and I am just saying. There will always be people like them and then there will be you. I hope they won't make you change into them.

It's all about manners dear.
Even a manager,or the company owner knows how to say nice words to their employees.
So I guess your officemate needs some kindergarten re-assessment when it comes to good manners and right conduct huh :xx

You are such a nice person. Others may have responded to the message also unprofessionally and with anger but you handled it well. It's a good thing mylot and it's members are ready to hear your bad feelings so as not to let it out on those unprofessional, ill mannered people. We really can't deny the fact that there are really some people who act that way and what we can do is to be patient and lower our pride for them so we won't be leveled to their unprofessionalism and ill-mannered acts.

It what I live by... In hard situations like the one you had, I always say that whoever has the capability to understand should understand. Although sometimes it makes me look weak but in reality i think i am stronger than those who react vehemently against negativities and critism. Not everyone can control their emotions and their tounges. but I could. It's nice to know that you could too

It happened to me too. Sometimes my boss won't know how to use words. I know that I might have done something wrong, that I am still a beginner in what I am doing and that I still make small mistakes, but she could tell me things differently. It would be better because I respond better to nice comments than to rude ones. And though she is the boss, it does not mean that she has the right to treat us unkind...

oh yeah! this we cannot control, actually we will never know how a person is when it comes to the things they do. like say correct our work, their manner of how they talk to people and so on. what we can only do is well not to take it all into our heart and into our head.. it is okay to be sensitive and feel bad about it but just think that you know better.. you know you would be able to react better and just don't mind 'em.

Your just giving your self a stress Jazel, don't mind her she is the one who is rude, she is the bad one. I know not only you can notice that. Always thought that you can't control people the way they act or how they deal but you can control your self.

attitude and discipline is really important and like you, i am really dissapointed and somehow disgusted. But my mom used to tell me that what you act towards her actions is important too. In your situation, its really hard to act in a way that you want since it is work issue. I`m really glad that you can even control yourself. It only shows that you are much better compare to them so cheer up and keep the cool. Since we or you are much better person, all we need to do is understand and be thankful because our attitude is better
