Overspent last month, now I am in tight budget

After paying all the bills within this month, I check my checking account, I was in tight budget now, since I overspent last month on a new desktop computer, and some miscellaneous stuff I carelessly spent on. Did I regret, I do now, but I also like them really much. I just have to work a little bit harder this month, and try not to spend that much. Also, I have to spend a little bit more time on mylot to make up some money, since I haven't gotten paid for 2 months already. Including this month, I just can't afford to not getting paid again. So, how do you keep up your accounting of your personal finance, we all make some unnecessary shopping, and we all make some sacrifice too.

You got the point. That is the way I do now. I used to have a budget. But with 3 kids growing up, it was very hard to stay on it. Now I overspend, and then I work really hard, without regret. Blessings jricky1... dainy

I am quite careless with my money. I tend to spend a lot, and then I have to be very careful, so that the money is enough till the next salary. I have all my budget planned already for the next two months, and I think there will be hard times for me. But I do hope that in the end everything goes fine, and I will be able to 'lift' a bit, financially.

I usually overspend, and then I work hard. Just like school I had free time, and then I studied hard.

Hi! I know it is very hard to earn money but you can spend it easily so I learn to know what is our priority and basic needs. We buy the food first, then pay the bills and the house amortization. We also save a little to our bank accounts and now I am selling online to have extra money too. I also do mylotting and blogging. Unexpected expenses always come along so for my peace of mind I should have extra money in case we need it.

I keep an account for all the bills to be paid from. I know what they are going to be within about $10 for the month. I put the rest of the money in another account, and know that I cannot spend more than is in that account. I keep up weekly with my accounts so I know what has been paid out. If something ends up being more expensive than I thought (electric because of running the fans or the air conditioning), then I transfer money from the other account.

Not only you get this problem, many guys get the same....the important thing is you know how to solve it and won't overspend this month. A tight budget for 1 month is ok right? everything will be back to normal in the next month...and you still enjoy your new PC computer...you can use it to earn more extra money online now...... I don't buy anything in this month more, all is set up to fit in a month...i also don't touch to saving money...grrrr..i am do good saving now...

well, i don't shop unnecessarily just because i cannot afford to. i do not use credit and only pay by cash. if i need something, i save up for it. that is the only way to be. for entertainment, i visit the library; for clothes, i shop at thrift stores and for food, i watch sales very closely and plan my meals around them.

It did happened to me last January I over spent my monthly budget and like a domino it affects my budget for the next month. I have to tighten up that's why even cutting down some electric bill I have to do so just to save some money.

You are very diligent in recording your receipt and expenditure every month. I never analyse my personal finance so I often get confused about how my money disappeared. I often dont believe how big my eypenditure was.

Overspending was my problem for quite sometime and I was worse 2 or 3 years ago. I'm slowly trying to get back on track with my expenses and I do that by making sure that I always have some of my earnings saved. I try not to buy things I don't need at the moment and try not to be impulsive. Like you, I really think that I also need to be working double time here at Mylot since it's been a few months now that I haven't cashed out at all. Been busy with other stuff so I also need to keep on track with my Online tasks. Good luck!

It really hard to manage personal finances because of higher prices of our daily needs. When I was single I admit that I always buying unnecessary things and I end up working double time most of the day. But now that I am married my husband taught me how to handle our finances careful and spend it wisely. I realized making a weekly budget plan on our daily food was a big help and I only shopped what on my list. Sometimes if we want to but some things for pleasure we adjust our weekly budget plan just to afford what we want.

Sometimes we have to overspend just as long as its not all the time. Last month I have to overspend and buy a new laptop. But I knew with the laptop I can earn money on sites like MyLot, and so on. You have to weighs the pros and cons. I don't usually buy myself something and if I do I usually use my online earnings for it (I don't include those into my income and its extra money). I usually wait until I have the extra money but sometimes you need the item in a hurry. I hope you can stick to your budget and it all works out.
