Dreams are said to be interpretative. However, there are more people out there who don't believe in dreams. The sanest advice offered is not to sleep on an empty stomach which is sure to stir up strange dreams. Sleeping on a full stomach is also likely to do the same thing. I used to have recurring dreams in the past which happened to be wishful longings. However, one or two that lingered last in my memory and nagged me throughout the day turned out to be portentous. What do you think of dreams, dear folks?

I think dreams are a strange phenomenon, and that know one will ever solve the mystery of where they come from and what they are. I think it is funny when people say that they have some sort of deeper meaning and what not. Sounds like someone slinging a bunch of non-sense to try and make a buck.

Dreams always fascinate us because they are mysterious and strange. There will be people to make a fast buck as long as there are people gullible enough to go to them for interpretation.

Honestly I believe in dreams and used to interpret them when I was younger as to have insight into what my mind was telling me. Now though when i have dreams I can pretty much figure them out for myself without needing to interpret every little thing. I used to be able to lucid dream but haven't tried in many years. Some people say they don't dream but I believe everyone dreams, just not everyone rememebrs them. Even if a dream seems hours long, it's only a few seconds long and happens right before you wake up. Hence why some can remember then and some can't, it all depends on how one is awoken.

Yes, everyone seems to dream without exception but on most occasions they fail to remember it once they are awake.Dreams do seem to predict what the future holds for us.

Actually, dreams don't have much to do with food most of the time, but more with your memories, trauma, stress, or anything else that you might have going on in your life. Most of my dreams are about memories, trauma, and what I read or see on television. Recently, I had a dream about a dress that I had bought, but I couldn't really remember if I had bought it, and then, I looked in my closet and the dress was there on top of the fact that it had been worn once. I remembered buying the dress, but then didn't remember where I had last worn it. This is a case where it was a good thing that I had this dream. Other dreams that I had were about the day my brother passed away and just various dreams about my brother. Some were pretty traumatic. I think a lot of it was PTSD in a way.

I usually have nightmares when I am suffocating in my blankets! I heard that you shouldn't but pressure on your heart, which causes nightmares... so sleep on your right side, not your left. Anyways, I believe that dreams have some reason to a degree.. I believe it has a lot to do with what was in your mind that day or week... and it comes out as silly interpretations in our dreams.

I love dreams, but I don't believe in dream-interpretation. I've been interested in dreams my entire life. I used to share dreams with my sister when we were kids brushing our hair before going to school in the morning. I've kept a dream journal since I was 12. I've also read a bunch of books about dreams and the science of dreaming. To me, dreams are a source of creative fuel and entertainment. I used to believe in dream interpretation, and tried interpreting my dreams... but I just don't think the theory that dreams have some sort of meaning holds much water anymore. Most of the dream interpretation that you read about is so generalized that it's like reading a horoscope. The other stuff is key to individuals that it's not falsifiable. I believe dreams are the brain making something up.

Whenever you go to bed on an empty stomach, your blood sugar drops and your body starts producing spurts of adrenaline in place of insulin. That's why when you go to bed on an empty stomach you can have weird (sometimes even lucid) dreams which have super weird things going on in them. I always monitor my dreams, and if they're too weird, I'll start having a small snack before bed. Part of me feels like we should pay attention to our dreams because they probably often show us things that we sub consciously block out...But I also think dreams can just be based on what happened during your day and have very little significant meaning.

That is an excellent side of explanation based on science. However, the psychic side of the matter is still open for further probe and understanding.

Dreams and their interpretations have always gained the attention of enthusiasts around the world. The dreams are just not the figments of imagination. They hold much more truth than most of us think about it to be. Dreams in fact have turned out to be true in many instances. Evaluating dreams in such contexts, we would be forced to accept the phenomena as one true concept holding much attention and truth.
