Why Can't Men Just Move-On when They Lose Their Testosterone?

I don't mean 'move-on' as in "Head for That Happy Hunting-Ground in the Sky," I mean 'move-on' as in 'focus on something more-important' (such as "making sure the younger men don't go and do some of the stupid things testosterone convinces us is okay"). My godfather (who's also my uncle) is 60- or 70-something. Not that he's complained to me about 'low testosterone' (and not that I'd say so if he did), but he's becoming a Catholic 'deacon' (which I think is the highest Catholic clergy you can be without pledging celibacy). He knows that there are things more-important in life than 'being a virile tom-cat.' What things can you think of that are more-important than your- or your man's-testosterone-level?
