We had a watermelon and ice cream party tonight

It was great. It was the first time entertaining in our new home. S bought two seedless watermelons and chilled them really good. Then he cut them into 4ths and everyone got a big hunk on a plate. They were about 20 inches long... so much fun tonight with B and J and K and S and myself. We had strawberry cheesecake ice cream and this has real pieces of cheese cake in it... oh it is to die for!
I wish I had taken a picture but I forgot. There is a half watermelon left for us to enjoy tomorrow.
B brought us blinds for our kitchen window so the neighbors can't look in and see us eat or sit at the kitchen table. Everything is coming together really well.
Next Saturday or Sunday I'm going to have my birthday party that I didn't get. If no one shows up we will just celebrate with ice cream and cake ourselves. My daughter is making my cake. I can't wait because she is great at making cakes and dressing them up to be pretty.
What have you been doing today? The heat was 105 today here... even with the AC on it was a little warm in there for me. The sun room is like a sauna.. great for drying clothes.. it's like walking into a clothes dryer. We dry clothes in there on a clothes rack.

hi dear PQ sounds great with that watermelon and ice cream party you had two weeks ago. you deserve something nice like that as you have to scrimp and save much more than anyone else I know. Hope you had a lot of fun.
I enjoy having a long weekend with today, Friday, off and Monday off too. The trains wont run cause part of the station is under construction here so I decided to take these two days off. Meant sleeping in, having my beloved coffee and now clearing out online as much as I can.

Oh it was so good too and fun Ritter. S and K went and did a little food shopping last night. They were supposed to get another watermelon. They are pretty cheap and there is a lot of servings to one which makes them very affordable. But they forgot. I want some so bad. I hope they will get one for tomorrow. My mouth is all set for watermelon. I never get sick of them when they are nice and sweet.

Hope you get that watermelon tomorrow. Hubby also forgot to get more gooseberries, he had bought one small carton of them, they are his favorite berries so I should not pinch too many.
Sooooooo I will stick to the veggies instead this long weekend I guess. LOL.

Sounds like you had a lovely party. We went to the fruit stand a couple of days ago and got sweet corn, avocadoes, raspberries, bing cherries, watermelon, cantaloupe and tomatoes. We have been feasting the last few days on this. I love a week-end of fruit and yummy food don't you?

Oh golly yes! i love fruit. right now watermelon is the only fruit we have.. but it's all I want. We had peaches but they are gone.

Well, it has been very warm for the past few weeks, but I'm pretty used to it so it's fine with me. I woke up, had my breakfast and is here mylotting. It's not everyday that I get the luxury to do what I want, with a full time job, and today is a break for me.. so I'm kind of loving it.. the slow pace of doing whatever I want, and having a long shower later on!

Seems I nice party going on, we normally eat water melon at summer time. And it is almost done here now since we have many rains. Have a nice party.

Doncha love them? I do! If I ever get sick of them I won't eat anymore until the next year. Sometimes we get some that aren't that sweet or the texture is too ripe.. then I don't like them... but when they are perfectly sweet, I just love them. I could live on watermelon.

Hope u have a great birthday party. Sounds like your party last night was fun. I love watermelon. I have already bought 3 this summer. My grandson is here today so that's always a pleasure for him to be here. I have just been putzing around the house & haven't accomplished alot.

This wasn't actually my birthday party.. this was just a party before the actual party... I'll have my cake and ice cream this Sunday I think... I have to make sure it's okay with S to do so.

Hope your typical day was a good one! Mine was good. I watched movies a lot today... I never watch movies but I really enjoyed them. I'm going to spend more time catching up on movies I've missed. I don't spend all my time online anymore.. it's so boring except for mylotting. It tires me out a lot though.

I am just staying home and be online the whole day. facebook and recently, i enjoyed mylot. i also check some blogs especially fashion related. i also watched some videos in youtube. haaayyy boring. i do not know if it is a good day but if i have to choose, i would like to stay the whole day with my friends - chit chats!

Wow watermelon and strawberry cheesecake ice cream, these are my favorate foods. I am very envy to you because even I want to eat those food I can't for the mean time. My day was starting with a good smile when my husband arrived home and we took lunch together and sleep together because its raining for the whole day. Any way I am glad that you have a great day.

Happy belated birthday! Sounds like you all had fun. I hope your birthday party turns out. The weather here has been so hot and its increasing throughout this week. I've been working and won't be stopping wither, I work both job am and pm this week and also have to petsit this coming weekend as well. I've been looking for a job on the side as well. We supposeable are still going on the Girls weekend in a few weeks, then my birthdays the last day in July ( I don't know what ill do might be working).
